Great public land outdoor range. Can only be accessed by the southbound lane on Highway 90. Exit on driveway right next to the highway 90, 301 mile marker sign. Once turning off highway, pull open access gate and then close it after passing through. It’s about a five minute slow drive down a secondary road going from highway exit to range. This dirt road is very rocky and not for cars. Trucks or SUV only, 4x4 preferred. Nobody was at the place but me and two friends. Found a blue painted wooden pallet on a hill and used it to hold up rifle targets. Be cautious of the rain forecast because the range sits in a low elevation bowl and is prone to flood.

Relatively clean for a free shooting spot, but it does have it's drawbacks. Big one is the cow patties, they're everywhere from the roaming cows. Big word of advice, check in with people already there to make sure they're not about to take a long distance shot. Also always be aware as someone can just decide to park 20 yards from your target behind some bushes all willy nilly. Or just go in the pit, pick an area to yourself and have fun safely practicing.

It still is my favorite range to go to. Big boy rules and everybody police is up their own brass. Plenty of space for lots of shooters. You can fire just about any weapon there.

Find the berm for a good backstop. relatively clean for a free shooting area. Good for 25 yards or less but not for longer distances. Lots of trails through the area and some vehicle traffic so you have to remain vigilant of where your rounds go.

Nice little range. Definitely will be back for target shooting. Best word of advice: Take entrance/exit off of mile marker 301 where there is a gate. Newly graveled road. Don’t follow GPS and take the north entrance which is rocky and requires 4WD.

Some washed out roads and some roads hard to navigate around trying to get to this place. Some people seemingly gave up because their vehicles weren't capable of traversing some of the trail roads and took to using the hills as back drops for target practice. We made the best of it and took some pictures along the way.

Awesome little range we had fun out here just make sure when you go take the road at mile marker 301 when you're going south on Highway 90.
