The Wandering Whistler Cafe is an excellent addition to downtown Effingham! They have a large library of board games to play while youre visiting, bar menu, mocktails, coffee/tea, small plates, and board games for sale. It's a unique place to hang out and have fun.

In depth review:
From the time you step in the staff does a tremendous job at making you feel welcome. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed which is perfect for playing a board game.

There's a seasonal cocktail menu, and I highly reccomend giving it a shot. The cocktails are crafted with care, and are high quality. I'm picky about my cocktails, but they nailed it!

Additionally there are options for small plates, and we chose one of their charcuterie boards. Everything was fresh, and it's perfect for sharing!

This place has an amazing welcoming atmosphere and great staff that go out of their way for you. Our bartender was so helpful. Such an awesome place to hang out and play games! Nowhere in Effingham like it. Definitely going to be a new regular hangout for us!

The Wandering Whistler is where I'll go for all my board game needs. Their staff does an excellent job responding to my questions and providing updates over live chat and phone, and helped me find games for myself and my family. Their website is well laid out and easy to use. I hope to try their boardgame rental service in the future.
