I have had the pleasure of knowing what I call the "wonder twins" for over a year now. I was looking to put on my own wedding and have some guests very dear to my heart. Anne Vitale and her girls Rachel and Samantha treated me like family. As a caterer myself with over 14 years of experience in the business, I understand what it takes to grow your business. So we planned my wedding there and with many different turns and challenges, we did it. Not only did we do it, we nailed it! It did not just rain, it was the most rain I have ever seen catering. The pop up for the DJ collapses during the ceremony and one guest with Rachel ran to hold it up. They tried everything to help us from putting rubber mats down to vacuuming 60 gallons of water before the ceremony. It would have been cool to set up around the pool, but God did not have that in plan for us. I will say our weather for the honeymoon was perfect! We will be getting Mary some swimming lessons here in the winter.

New (permanent) home of the Thames Aquatic Club! Outdoor swimming in a heated pool! An enclosure will be going up soon so you can continue to swim all winter. Swim team, lessons, and lap swim. Tennis and yoga too. Membership required.

I've been swimming my entire life and the VAT pool/family is by far the best swimming ?‍♂️ experience I've ever had. It's a clean, safe, & wonderful environment. I love my evenings swims the most during the summer months, the moon ? is out and the sun is setting. I can't emphasize enough the health benefits this particular pool has provided for me and my family. Thank you very much to the Vatale family for all that you do. ❤️

The pool is fantastic. The tennis courts are beautiful. And there are so many programs offered: swim lessons, aquacize, yoga, and tennis to name a few. It’s also the home of the Thames Aquatic Club. The swim team has really helped our son grow and build his confidence in the sport. We love the VAT!

I can't say enough good things about the owners, John and Anne Vitale. They are the definition of class, hard work, and care so much about their members. The entire staff at The Vat is top notch as well. I can't wait for the next class and I highly recommend joining TODAY!!!

Went to a birthday party for a friend and was very surprised by the extreme harsh yelling that the owner did toward some of the children. Her nastiness was inappropriate and uncalled for and it saddened and embarrassed them. Being a lifeguard is a serious and important job, but doesn’t mean you cruelly yell at the children. It’s so hard to believe that she thought it was ok to yell at kids who weren’t even aware they were doing anything wrong. It was very degrading and out of control rage and just plain mean. It really brought down the mood of the birthday party and the kids felt intimidated by this short tempered woman. My friend who was paying for the party at this place was very embarrassed by this woman’s behavior. No one deserves to be treated the way this woman treated paying guests at her business. You never know what battles people are fighting in their lives. It’s not so difficult to speak with respect and kindness. I’ll never go to this place again and I’m ashamed to have this kind of business owner in our town.

I love spending the summer months at the VAT. The pool is very beautiful and peaceful, and the Vitale family is so welcoming. I highly recommend becoming a member here, it is totally worth it!
