Our 9-year old son started karate at Villaris in Torrington just a few months ago and absolutely loves it! His instructors are incredible. Their expert knowledge and instruction shines while they always hold the students to the highest expectations. It is evident that they help each child become more confident with their skills during every class. This has been the most positive experience for our son who struggles with anxiety. We have seen his confidence grow. He is always excited to attend each class and is motivated to work hard, learn more and achieve his best.

You will not find a more welcoming and helpful group of people than those at Villari's! I started with no martial arts experience at all and in a year I see so much growth not only in my physicality, but in my mind set and the ability to set goals and persevere. I have been encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and I learn something new every class. I encourage adults to join our class!

Our daughter started karate when she was 4 years old (she is now 6) and it has made such a positive impact on her life and ours. Her confidence has improved tremendously with each class and you can see her excitement every time she learns something new. The instructors are excellent with the kids and take their jobs seriously . They take the time out to make sure your child understands a new move or technique so they don’t feel lost or that they are falling behind.
We are so proud of our daughter for trying something new and Villari’s in Torrington has taught her so much in the last 2+ years!

My son joined Villari’s last year at 6 years old. He began with nearly no confidence and was somewhat shy. I have seen more confidence and him open up to make new friends and become more disciplined. The instructors treat him with respect and are very knowledgeable of what it takes to have self-control and self-discipline and they teach the kids the same thing.

My daughter has been enrolled for a few months now & looks forward to karate every single week! She is able to progress efficiently enough to keep her mind wanting more. This studio is very rewarding for her. It has help immensely with her self confidence, we are forever grateful. Mrs. Moore in particular has gripped my daughter in the best ways.Taking her time with each student to help correct & improve. I can’t wait to see how she progresses in this studio.

In a short amount of time my daughter gained more confidence through instruction. Initially we asked her if she wanted to try it out. She was apprehensive and on the no side. My wife and I brought her in to check it out and she liked it. Class after class she falls more in love with it all. She is also showing self discipline by mostly getting herself ready for school in the morning. Prior to classes, she needed coaxing and direction. All in all this is a great addition to her daily practice.
