Thunder Bear's Discovery Den - Port Richey, Florida

Went there today with my son and appreciated an indoor place for my 2 year old to play & explore. He had LOTS to do and didn’t want to leave! The owner is so kind & very personable - spoke to all the kids using their first name and even has a teacher / class portion of the day if you spend an extra $5! It’s $20 for the full day (break from 12:30-2 ish) and you can go in the morning and back in the afternoon. The floor is all padded and no shoes are allowed - highly recommended you bring/wear socks! Bathrooms are down the hall - clean and lots of room to change a child (although no designated change area, but there’s room on the counter if you bring a change pad)!
Would recommend and will be back! 🙂

I learned about this place through the owner Meghan
when Hurricane Helene hit. We lost our car, a lot of the twins toys, diapers, wipes, etc. but I still was trying to pay it forward by giving things away that were never used by my 2.5 year old twins. Including brand new books, bubble toys, crafts, new size 3 diapers, etc. etc. helping others helped fuel me and motivate me, it restored hope. Meghan the owner came by to pick it up and she brought us a ton of hot food and snacks for the kids. She also gave us vouchers and told us to come any time to let the twins play there! Then I saw a post a few weeks later about some toys, clothes, and a new car seat that needed to be given away and we desperately needed it. She went out of her way to bring that to us, and we met her son, he’s adorable! Meghan is a sweetheart and a blessing, she deserves the world! Thunder Bear’s Discovery Den is such a magical place for children. It is amazing to see how kids light up in this enriching environment. It’s such an intentional, and educational play space! I deeply appreciate how much thought went into Discovery Den to make it super interactive with the kids. All staff are incredibly friendly, and all have education backgrounds as well. There are a range of types of classes to bring your little one to, along with free play the entire time they're open. Thunder Bear’s Discovery Den is just an amazing asset to the community! ?

We had the pleasure of attending Thunder Bear's Discovery Den & my kids LOVED it! There was so many interactive things to do for all ages. The giant swing set was AWESOME, even I wanted to play on it. My kids are 11 months, 4 years, 8 years, and 10 years old and they didn't want to leave! Meghan, the owner, is so nice and sweet. She interacts with every kiddo that comes in and plays & makes sure everyone is having fun. She makes you feel like family- my kids adore her! We will definitely be returning! 🙂

We had such a fun time at the opening of thunder bears discovery den! My 1.5 year old had a blast exploring everything, running around and playing. I love that this is inside where it’s air conditioned. So glad to have this local!

I recently moved here from another state. I have been looking for a place for my two toddlers to play that is safe and fun! We found the perfect spot! I highly recommend Thunder Bears Discovery Den! There’s so much to do and so many toys that allow for great imagination! The owner is incredible and so sweet! Definitely a very inviting place and I will be bringing my kids all the time!!!

My 3 year old had so much fun at Thunder Bear’s Discovery Den. We anticipated only going for 1 hour, but decided to stay for 2 hours and he still didn’t want to leave. There were so many options for independent play and the owner Meghan would show him different toys he could build with and play with, she taught him how to use a toy drill to build a dinosaur and that was his favorite. We will definitely be back.

10/10⭐️⭐️ I recently brought my two daughters to Thunder Bear Discovery Den, and they had an absolute blast! The playroom is filled with all sorts of adorable toys, and my girls loved dressing up and playing with the other kids there. The environment is lively, engaging, and perfect for children to explore their imaginations.

As a busy parent, it was a relief to be able to sit back, catch up on work on my laptop and not have to worry about them for awhile! The owner is fantastic she's a former teacher, and it really shows. Her experience shines through in how she interacts with the kids, making them feel comfortable and excited to learn and play. It's clear she has the skills and passion for working with children, which gives parents like me great peace of mind.

The location is great, and it’s a perfect spot to bring the kids when you need a break. We'll definitely be back!
