Got to chat with the owner when I visited. Super cool guy, very knowledgeable. Amazing selection of punk records! Cool merch abound. I will definitely make the drive to visit this place again.

They keep it real here. Analogue tech is alive and well for those of us chasing the dreams of vinyl and cassette tapes.

I loved their section in the back with VHS movies as well. Picked up a few to go. Needless to say, I’ll be checking in to find more tapes in the future.

Prices were way above average on every single item I looked at. They did have some interesting vhs tapes and records, but a quick internet search will find prices way lower than what they are charging. I made a special trip through St. Louis just to check this place out, and I was hugely disappointed. Left empty handed. No reason to return.

I’d rate zero if I could I’ve been here over 10 times. Owner acts inconvenienced whether you’re buying or selling. I’ve done multiple trade deals with them and I’ve mostly had bad experiences and can say if they didn’t have specific items I wanted at the time I’d tell you to run from there. Last time I traded in items I had to wait 15 minutes for the owner to finish his game of pinball before he looked at what I brought and 2 of the 5 vinyls I have gotten have been marked fine or very fine condition to get home and see scratches and gouges taken out of them. Still trying to support small businesses I ask if they have a dvd in stock wait 3 hours for a call back to get told yes, I made the half hour drive to get handed a copy of a dvd I didn’t ask for and get told “sorry the owners a busy guy “

I placed a pre-order thru The Record Space for an item released by Atom Age Industries. Atom Age Industries delayed production for over 2 years after receiving pre-orders. The Record Space responded in a timely and honest manner every time I inquired, for over 2 years, and they carefully packaged the set and shipped it to me quickly as soon as it finally arrived. The Record Space is a great shop and I highly recommend them.

Decent store, nice staff and good selection. Probably the best place for punk and metal in STL. Wish they had better lighting inside, made it hard to judge the records condition.

Awesome little shop and a great selection of records and miscellaneous items. Went to a punk night in the back to hear some bands and it was a great time. Worth the venture if you haven't been there.

A great record store chocked full of one of a kind finds! Very small store front, but full of cool stuff. Can't wait to go back!
