For months as I planned my recent trip to Cave City, I’ve been watching the Gypsy Willow online, and couldn’t wait to sample their wares! I was not disappointed! I had the grilled oysters, (my new favorite!), the boudin egg rolls were super crunchy, and perfectly spiced! The tater planks deserve their own sign out front! I’ve seen nothing like them from Seattle to Houston to Miami. We also had fried mushrooms in the same extra crisp batter as the tater planks, and a pulled pork sandwich that tops most bbq joints, and fairly holds its own with any! The pink slaw was an added bonus.

The food is fresh, the menu somewhat unique, (turtle soup!), and sure to please any palate. Vegan and vegetarian options are always available.

The place itself is a showpiece! Appearing to be an old fish shack? It has a delightful southern atmosphere, a Louisiana feel. Decor and ambiance music adds to the effect. Well done!

The owners/operators were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, able to direct us to other nearby points of interest. Thank you, Hobbit and Kim!

James chatted with us after he made our dinner and we enjoyed learning about him. Jambalaya in an egg roll! Who would have ever thought? Outstanding!

The service is extraordinary. The food is phenomenal. 10 out 10 recommend. We ate there for lunch today and got the fried pork loin sandwich meal and the pulled pork sandwich meal. Both my husband and my food were amazing. We thought it was so good we stopped back by and got crawdads for supper.

Everything we have bought from here has been so delicious. The prices are amazing, service is excellent, yet the food is even better. we had a delicious dinner and our one year old tore up the white beans and ham. the fried squash was my personal favorite & could eat it everyday! i 100% would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for something good to eat. it is honestly the best place in town, every bite you take is better than the one before! make sure to ask for some of their sauces they won’t disappoint!!!

Great breakfast, the maple syrup is absolutely amazing. The best hot chicken and waffles with an amazing side of special homemade slaw.
