We loved our breakfast! The service was excellent. The minute we walked in, she told us to sit wherever we liked. The decor was awesome. So much time and care was taken. It was retro, 50-60's with wooden cutouts at every booth.

We all enjoyed our meals. I had grilled shrimp and flounder, a baked potatoes and cole slaw. Then, for desert I had a fried apple pie with vanilla ice cream. It was all delicious and the prices are great too. Our waitress did a great job keeping us well served!

The sweet tea wasn't very sweet. We watched all the folks that came in after we did, get their food before us. We weren't offered to-go boxes and we felt like a burden to the staff because we were there. Food was decent but arbys has a better club sandwich

Respectful of the great reviews left on here, this was my first time and my take away dish did not leave me too impressed. I ordered chicken tenders and veggies however, it left me wondering if they didn’t give me a kid’s portion of meat by mistake. I asked the hostess and said she didn’t know anything about what the kitchen did and she just puts in the order…she suggested that maybe their latest batch of chicken they got in was on the smaller side. I thought she might have made the effort to at least ask them, but it never happened. Also, when I asked if dipping sauce was included she said she didn’t give me any since I didn’t mention wanting any.
Friendly customers inside but the staff was a somewhat odd crew.
Maybe an eat-in experience would have been better, but somehow I am not really convinced. Food was good and typical southern style fried cooking…but in my opinion they were a bit stingy with portion size.

This is a a hidden gem ..
Comfort food at reasonable prices, generous portions and fast service.
Decor is fun .. love the flashback and the other painting, etc.
So far, every Blue Plate Special Delicious, at correct temp for serving and good size portions.
Lunch blue plate offerings include several choices at around $10 (which includes your ice tea or coffee).

We stopped for supper while in town and it was a good experience! We both ordered the New York Strip steak as medium, it arrived at table with no pink inside. The steaks were still good so we didn’t complain. Next time we will order medium rare. The baked potatoes were baked just right, nice and soft, and our salads were cold and crispy! We will be returning to try other menu items and their malts!!

The food is good. I was given the wrong order and asked for no American cheese only Swiss. They gave me only American cheese and an entirely different salad. Was still good tho.

Had an awesome meal here. Service was slow, however they were packed and I think there was only one waitress. The food was fresh the bathrooms were clean. The small town atmosphere was a nice change. Local knowledge will require you to ask for today's special. Call for hours as they are not traditional.
