This was such a fun experience! My husband and I went not knowing what to expect and we had such a great time. The actors were funny and engaging and the food was good too. I bought the suspect package for my husband and he really liked getting to ne a part of the action. If you are looking for a fun night out, definitely do The Dinner Detective!

This is a great idea but poorly executed. I love that the actors have jobs and are mostly passionate about what they do. The food wasn't very good and the service was zero. I had to hunt down waiters several times to request tea, as the website suggests, but not one of them spoke English so they just looked at me blankly. Finally, they figured out that I needed help and got the manager. I asked for tea and the lady next to me asked for butter. He said he'd be right back and never returned. So, we were stuck trying to communicate with the waitress again but got the same result. No, I never did get the tea.

I'm not sure how basic the plot is supposed to be but the "suspect" was obvious from the start and there was no real story. I was expecting more effort, I guess. Everyone (except the waiters) were super nice and energetic but this was really overpriced. I understand the struggle in the entertainment field but they should offer Groupon again, even if only a limited amount. Be sure to expect to spend some extra on drinks, otherwise, you're stuck with water since no working there knows about serving the included tea/coffee.

In theory, they're different because they force the audience to interact but it's basically telling everyone to get up and ask questions to other tables, which no one is comfortable doing for a lot of reasons. The table across from us was super loud and rude to the point that a lady at ours asked them to be quiet. That made them mad and even more aggressive. Who's going to talk to them now?

So, kudos to the producers for the unique setup but we did prefer the traditional play style format.

Park on the street nearby or you'll be paying $15+. Unfortunately, my friends hated it so much that they got up and left. I decided to wait it out but things didn't get better. The suspect was the best part of the act (8/27/23) throughout the experience, even if we already knew it was him. Also, we had a fun group at our table to chat with.

A lot of fun for a interactive comedy bout with an excellent dinner. Be ready for it to get loud and definitely don't drink while the show is on going unless you want it out your nose.

We had a good time watching and interacting with people at our table trying to figure out "whodunit". Some of the actors sat at the tables, but you didn't always know which ones we're the actors, so you had to get up and walk around to talk to different people - not what this introverted gal likes to do.
Not much time to read through the clues and come up with a suspect or why they did it. The show that we went to, the reveal didn't make sense. Even when they explained it at the end, it seemed to come out of the blue and the table that had 3 of the 4 winners that figured it out were at the culprit's table, so an unfair advantage.
Cheesy acting, which I don't mind too much, but others might.
The food was ok, a catered meal so you order ahead what option you want. Both entrees that we ordered (I got the chicken, my husband got the fish - they also had a vegetarian option) were a little overcooked and tough with insant potatoes.

All in all it was fun, but not spectacular.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Not sure who is being paid to leave rave reviews. First of all, the actors were enthusiastic and the servers did the best they could with what they had to work with. The environment was a fluorescent-lit conference room with round tables requiring half the audience to turn completely around to see what was happening while trying to eat. The website says on-site parking and valet is available -- not so. We were told that was a mistake and had to park 2 blocks away. The food was lacking -- salad and crudite on the table as we arrived had obviously been out for awhile - wilted and stale. The "encrusted salmon" was fishy and not as described. Very few people ate their meal so it wasn't just our group. The restroom was filthy. Crowne Plaza -- you can do better.

What a great way to have fun and get your mind going. The actors did an awesome job!!! Be prepared to be shocked!!! We will definitely come back in the future!!!!

It was a great. We had the murderer at our table which made it extra fun. Loved getting to interact with the people at our table. The only downside was at times it was hard to hear with other people talking.

Definitely a great night out! If you want some silly fun and meet some interesting people? This is the place to go! Good food and plenty of laughs. Can't go wrong with The Dinner Detective.
