This was the first time I've visited the range in over 20 years, but it's still well maintained. I enjoy the rolling, wooded hills of the Sugar Creeks Conservation area.

Even on a light rainy Saturday this range is fun to shoot at! Had so much fun here, would recommend highly to family and friends to come out.

Five stars when I’m there by myself making my YouTube videos. There’s always paper targets available and the range has a few options on distance. Zero stars for everyone else that goes there. I was there this morning and a couple idiots showed up and not only ruined my video but were using a shotgun at the 25 yard range and knocking down the rubber backstops. I left because there’s no sense arguing with a couple teens with a shotgun.

Probably the cleanest public shooting range I've been to, but recently I've noticed an increase in vandalism. If you are going to come here, please take care of the place.

ETA: Vandalism is increasing. Someone shot one of the target backs with a shotgun. Please don't damage the facilities.

Beautiful wooded range. It's free and the great state of Missouri appears to stock the paper targets. I recommend you bring your own mat and bench rest as tables are concrete suitable for left or right handed fire.
I recommend that you bring wooden clothes pins to assist holding your target.
I see some people really lack the character it takes to clean up their own brass please be clean guys and gals and take your papers with you or dispose of them
In the trash cans provided

I've been to this range for a number of years, and upon my last visit I was incredibly impressed with the condition of the facilities. At times, signs have become worn and faded, concrete benches in need of some TLC, and target frames that were "well loved" but all of those minor issues have been remedied and then some. The location is peaceful (which might not sound important when you are discharging firearms but truly, you'll notice it and it's wonderful), the other range patrons are unilaterally pleasant and welcoming, and it is an excellent place to enjoy some quality time with your favorite firearm and some friends/family that enjoy the same.

An excellent MO Dept of Conservation range. 3 distances 25, 50 and 100 yards with great benches at each set of lanes. The benches can be switched for left/right handed shooters. Great, no nonsense shooting range. Usually a supply of free targets, but bring some just in case and a staple gun to attach them to the back stops.
