This sports complex has taken us through so many great times! Easy access, lots of parking, good food, super turf fields, and a tasty cafe with an attached bar near the swimming pool. Don’t sleep on the winter session for soccer; it’s a totally different experience that gives kids a competitive edge!

Super disappointed a month into my membership. I was told an hour before it happened via email, that the South Windsor Swim team would be using the pool everyday during the time I swim. Apparently the team has the pool from 3-4:30pm for the entire swim season (convenient). Had to cancel my membership.

This place is amazing. The layout is designed for every type of athlete. Downstairs is heavy weights and log chains, upstairs has the machines, cardio rooms, there is also a pool and then there is the bubble for players and youth teams. Just a fun place to go and workout.

Very disappointed and had to cancel my membership. Starhill administraton tells people that they don't have enough numbers for child care during the weekend. Even though I hear people are calling and inquiring about it every time I stop by the reception. I was told they made a survey among their members and defined child care hours during the working week which is absurd as most parents are working at this time. They never included me in their surveys and I had been their continuous family membership subscriber for 5 years visiting at least once a week. Their director was super rude telling me that they asked the opinion regarding child care hours only from active members. They never say that you have to be an active member to use their child care. Plus they don't give a definition what active member means. I pay the same money for the membership as anybody else. Anyway, I was deeply offended by this statement and left. It looks like they need a family center status ( they claim they are still a family center) but they don't provide weekends support for the families. Their working hours are limited and child care is removed from the weekends.

This place was enormous, sitting there atop the hill amongst the trees. Like something out of Tolkien or perhaps a less talented imitator. Needs a bit better lighting and yet my nephew absolutely sniped two goals at the end of his game. Seemed like they also had facilities for getting drunk during your child's soccer game, what a world.

The Star Hill Family Athletic Center is an excellent facility to utilize for fitness-related needs. They have been a huge support for my special needs son, who requires a lot of physical activity to make him feel better. The front desk has been super helpful towards his needs. We would highly recommend getting a membership at this fantastic facility. They will not let you down!

I have been a member at Star Hill for over a year now. While I have had a great experience so far, both with the nice staff and the equipment, the last several visits have forced me to leave this review. Twice now the treadmills have cut off in the middle of my workouts (circuit breaker tripped). The first time, the manager on staff provided me with a free month membership, which I appreciated. The second time, the front desk informed me that, that happens some times when there are too many people (there were two people running). Unfortunately, that is not an acceptable answer as running with the risk of the treadmill loosing power is certainly frustrating and potentially dangerous.

I hope management sees this review and makes adequate changes. I am happy to make updates to this review when this issue is solved as I have had a great experience so far in my year+ membership and hope to continue.

Minnechaug Golf Course

They basically beat me out of $52.00. Had a two month membership fee at beginning of this year when I went up to play softball with the Senior league. Never wanted to renew. 5 months later the charge shows up. Be careful what your signing, watch your checking accounts. Terrible job by Starhill! I do not recommend them! Had to give at least 1 start but they deserve a zero rating!
