The concept of this coffee shop/bookstore is excellent, and the coffee that I ordered last night was solid and delicious. I came here last night looking for a coffee shop late last night for my iced caramel latte. This place has been on my list of places to visit in STL, and I finally did it last night.

My visit for an iced caramel latte turned into a delightful surprise. It was a quick in and out, but I ended up staying longer than planned. The shop was hosting a music open night, and I got to enjoy a live performance until closing time.

I shall visit again during the day, check out their book selection, and stay in to enjoy my cuppa.

Venue was awesome. Event I went to, great. 8 dollars for the weakest mix drink I’ve ever had? WHACK. not even half a shot of whiskey. I mean when I say weak, i mean weak. Terrible. Horrible. The drink itself was good. But dude, come on. Barely any whiskey in it. Do better.

Bookstore, coffee shop and event space in Benton Park. We go to attend historical talks. It is a comfy little place with a variety of independent authored books. The owner, Mark, makes delicious specialty coffees and teas.

What a fabulous bookstore and cafe with great events! The owner, Mark, is a wonderful person. Mark makes the best flavors of tea, hot or iced! I got the tea flavor Royal Treatment, iced, and I felt like I was getting the royal treatment. It is in a charming area, across from Benton Park. Though I was visiting, I was able to attend several cool events. One, on the patio featuring a fabulous band, the Peace Lords. I also attended and read in the Sunday poetry open mic. It was a packed house and so fun! Spine is an incredible supporter of indie authors! An indie author and poet, I have books at Spine, and I was featured with a reading and presentation in a Spine Bookstore and Cafe Author's Showcase. I live in New Mexico, but I will return to Spine Indie Bookstore and Cafe. Also, I stayed at the charming Benton Park Inn across the street and look forward to staying there again. I could not have asked for a better experience than my trip that included Spine Indie Bookstore and Cafe and Benton Park Inn.
