I've been attending the Monday adult class for a few weeks, and I love the smaller rink - less intimidating, and the evening hours fit my schedule.

I needed to make up a missed class, and I’m so glad I did because I got to meet Rhonda! In just one session, I learned more than I expected. I went from barely letting go of the wall to lifting my legs and actually skating!

Rhonda’s energy and expertise make her a true asset to Southwest Ice Arena.

While this place may be a tradition it's just not a good place to play hockey. Feels like your walking into a old office building.

The concession stand never open now with covid and the locker rooms are so bad it's just annoying to drive all the way down here for a game anymore. We travel all over the country for hockey and some local Illinois rinks just happen to be the worst of the worst.

This was my first time ice skating, and I am glad I went to this arena! The skating rink is relatively small, which was perfect for a beginner like me. The ice was decent(according to my more experienced friends), it was mostly flat with minimal cracking. I rented the ice skates at this arena and would recommend sizing down as my skates were feeling very roomy. My friends recommended to take one size smaller than what you normally wear. The employees were nice and patient, and the price was reasonable. No complaints, and I had a great time!

I went to southwest to skate for the first time last week and the staff was super friendly as well as the manager (I believe his name was Pat). Can't wait to go back!

My 6 year old just had a game against Saint Jude over the weekend. They had speakers BLARING with music every time the game paused, ONLY on the away team's side, which is where we sat. I walked over to the home team's side and the speakers were off or not working.

In between one of the periods, I addressed the issue with the office, and they were not very helpful. They did turn the music down slightly, but not much.

I get messing with away teams, but these are SIX YEAR OLDS.
I could not help but to think Saint Jude's and Southwest Ice Arena are a group of disrespectful BULLIES, and I will make sure everyone I know, knows this as well.
