I had a fantastic experience at Southern Appalachian Smokehouse in Livonia, GA! The food was incredible. I tried the Hiker's salad, which had the best smoked chicken I've ever had—perfectly seasoned and tender. The Loaded Chips were a delightful surprise, with layers of flavor that were super awesome. The pulled pork taco was also very delicious, with juicy pork and a great blend of toppings.The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, making it a perfect place for friends to gather and enjoy a good meal. The rustic decor and warm lighting add to the charm of the place. The staff is phenomenal—welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring about your dining experience.Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Southern Appalachian Smokehouse. Excellent quality meats. Everything was delicious. 'So glad we left the car at the fast-food place next door to find this little gem of a restaurant!
If we're ever again nearby, we will return for more!
Two of us ate brisket sandwiches, and I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Mine was super tender and just the right amount of buffalo sauce--subtle, not overpowering. The sweet potato fries were scrumptious also! We didn't care for the savory cole slaw, as we prefer our slaw to have a lil twang. Atmosphere is super casual and the service very friendly.

We did the phone in order.

Full rack of ribs with Brunswick stew and baked beans. Total enjoyment; spouse wanted to keep the barbecue sauce on the ribs (she thought it dry).

The pulled pork - exceptional. Cut just to the right pieces. The sides were potato salad and beans. I am a mustard potato salad person. The mayonnaise used I did not grasped; the taste and aroma were not on my personal level.

The baked beans were "outta of this world!" The unexpected extras were exceptional, especially the little container of cold slaw. Thank y'all!

I give this place a 10 out of 10! We are from Texas, and since we have moved to Georgia 5 years ago good BBQ has been hard to find. The brisket was moist, and the salad with ranch was off the chain! So glad we found this place. We will definitely be back!

Rack of Ribs: 2/5 - Flavorful, but the ribs were chewy, served warm and dry, with bark that was too tough to eat

Would love to return on a day when the ribs are made fresh. I did mention this to the staff personally because I would like to return soon.

Stopped here on a whim while traveling and so glad we did. Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff. The ribs, mac-n-cheese, and potato salad are among the top best we've ever had. Nothing like this close to home. You cannot go wrong with anything at this place.

The food is amazing and you get a large portion for the price! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had the loaded chips with pork and hubby had the half chicken. Both were amazing! I highly recommend! If you go on Tuesday or Thursday it might be game night!

We stopped here because we were on our hungry way! Lucky we did, because the food is amazing and the staff very friendly! We ate the Brisket Sandwich which included the side. We choose their fries and sweet potatoes fries. The brisket was tendered, juicy and flavorful and the portion was perfect. Thank you Mathew and all the team! No pictures because it didn’t last long!
