Just what I was hoping for, a little hole in the wall seafood place that does great food!! Very friendly folks and generous portions. I had the grouper and shrimp plate which came with french fries and coleslaw, piled so high the top could not be closed on the dish!

Me and my boyfriend had read the reviews about this sweet little seafood shack and the reviews don't do it justice! Wow. The food here was wonderful!! We both got huge plates of shrimp, softshell crab with sides of coleslaw, hush puppies and I had baked beans (which was so so incredibly good) & my boyfriend had fries. I'm telling you - these ladies know what they are doing!! We both ate all of our food and I'm sure licked the plates. Lol. I don't think think you could eat one bad thing at this place. And the ladies that work there are the absolute sweetest! We literally can't wait to come back to Carabelle to eat here again!! Wish we had taken some extra plates to go to take back to TN. If you're wanting some amazing seafood/food in general -- this is the place! Definitely diamond in the rough kinda place. ?

This place is a MUST! The service was super fast, and everything we had was delicious. The fried shrimp was out of this world! Be sure to bring cash as they don’t take cards.

We stopped here the day after Hurricane Helene, they were the only restaurant open, and was a Godsend. We were here for work and been craving seafood and supporting a local place, so this hit the spot. Very kind southern hospitality and soul food.

Loved the patio and ambience. It’s like old school seafood joint. Plate of grouper and shrimp so large the bad didn’t want to close. I don’t normally even eat a hush puppy but these had a kind of sweet flavor to them that I liked so much I ended up reheating the second one the next day price for how much food you got was exceptional. I never can decide between fish or shrimp and the specialthat I went was the combination of both so that was perfect

Don's Travel Tip of the Day:

When you're passing through a place called the Forgotten Coast, and you see a roadside restaurant called Seafood Shack that is next door to a seafood market, and the Seafood Shack is pretty much literally a shack, and it is a one-woman cash-only operation run by Karen, the very pleasant sister of the seafood market guy, who takes pride in her cooking and sending customers away happy, and she sings along to 80s music in the background and calls all her customers "Baby", and the family has the only locally owned shrimp boat around...

THAT is where you stop for lunch.
And THAT is where you get the Seafood Platter, because it's got ALL the tasty fried goodness you need now (oysters, shrimp) and later (grouper, crab cake, scallops) plus fries and hush puppies and cole slaw.

Beth is always so nice to her customers and I have really enjoyed everything I have ordered there. Definitely the best and freshest food in Carrabelle I highly recommend it. It's outdoor seating and this time of the year it's a plus. Do your tummy a favor and get you some fresh seafood

The food is the best in Franklin County. Mrs Beth KNOWS how to cook seafood right. She is friendly and polite, and the prices are affordable.
