I highly recommend Rockcliffe Mansion for a truly unique and delightful experience! Staying in a historic home is like stepping back in time. Warren and Juan are thoughtful and attentive hosts. The breakfast is a highlight--delicious, varied, and served in the elegant dining room. Their restoration of the mansion is really impressive. Hannibal in the fall is great for a long weekend. Plenty to do and the colors don't disappoint!

There’s nothing I enjoy more than traveling with my significant other. I spend weeks (sometimes months) on end looking for the most unique experiences I can surprise her with. I look for things that will create a memorable, lifelong memory. 

The Rockcliffe Mansion more than met this requirement. In fact, we stayed here for the first time in October of 2023 and enjoyed it so much that we made a point to return in October 2024 and spend our first anniversary. ||||The Gilded Age grand residence is breathtaking to tour, and it is an incredible experience when coupled with an overnight stay. The owners, Warren and Juan, thoroughly round off the experience for their guests and make you feel like you are a special guest of the Cruikshank family back in the day. Everything is first class, from their etiquette and breakfast presentation to the late afternoon wine and cheese gatherings. I dare you to find something more special. ||||Last year, we stayed in Anne Louise’s Chamber, the largest quarters in the mansion. This time, we stayed in the Governess Quarters. Each room is as unique and special as the property itself.||||We truly enjoyed spending our weekend here for the second time and look forward to revisiting next October! We would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to Warren and Juan for yet another welcoming and unforgettable experience!

We did the tour only. A group of us gals had a two day stay in Hannibal and heard about it on the ghost tour. None of us were expecting too much. The house is massive. And under renovation on the outside. We walked up the massive steps into the foyer and wow. It is something else. Juan, the owner, gave our group the tour. It was alot of history which we enjoyed. The contents are pretty much what was there when it was built late 1890s early 1900s. Each room (and i think there were 35 of them) were filled with the either the original furnishings or on the rare ocassion a replacement piece from that era. If you are a history buff, enjoy old mansions (who doesn't!) and the tales they have to offer this is a must see. I do not think you will be disappointed.

Mansion was lovely and the best part of our trip. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the history of the home. The house is mostly intact from when the original owners lived there and the hosts have worked hard to renovate and keep everything accurate while being modernly comfortable.

Everything was perfect. Started with a welcoming wine and cheese to meet hosts and other guests and included their tour of the house which was interesting and informative. Mansion was amazing with original furnishings. Rooms were ornate yet comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and served in the main dining room. A treat!|Again the hosts and accommodations were wonderful. Would definitely recommend and stay again .

Not to be missed! I have visied many mansions around the country. The grand staircase like Gone with the Wind with a huge Tiffany window at the top. Everything frozen in time....clothes n hat still hanging in the closets. And those little things that were there when the new owners unlocked the door after 40 years before the widow had walked out and moved next door to live with her daughter. And it's a bed n Breakfast too!

We only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay longer. The mansion is beautiful —an historical gem! I’ve never stayed anywhere like it. Warren and Juan were ideal hosts, who were happy to entertain all of our questions about the mansion’s history and restoration. We will definitely visit again!

We booked one night at the Rockcliffe Mansion as we planned on having a "Mark Twain" experience in Hannibal. A tour on this historic home was included with our stay. We were amazed that the high quality antique furnishings were all original to the home and in fine shape. Juan had an interesting story about each room and about the wealthy family that lived there. Afterwards, we sat on the veranda with our hosts and had a delightful conversation over wine and cheese. The accommodations were comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully served on china dishes in the elegant dining room. It was fun to experience living in the grandeur of the day.
