I came here with the family, and I loved my filet mignon! Unfortunately, my wife got this avocado taco, and all the avocados were under ripe, and there's no way they didn't know this. The service wasn't necessarily bad, but our server had too many tables. The environment was pretty nice until the band started playing. This is a small place, and the music was a little loud for our liking. I would come back, but the rest of the family didn't like it.

I had high hopes for this place, but was let down. I know they just opened and I hope they can improve. We walked in and the atmosphere is just a bit odd. It’s a black room that’s very loud and echoey. We ordered the Brisket Nachos about 20 minutes before our food and it still came out with the rest of our food, which defeats the purpose of an appetizer. The nachos looked good but the chips (more like whole grain crackers) were just a little weird. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my son ordered a kids cheeseburger, when they brought them out we couldn’t tell which was which because they were both the same size and neither had bacon. The meat wasn’t seasoned and I could have made a better burger at home. It took forever for the food to come out our waitress came to our table 4 times to tell us sorry about the wait and that they just got out of a rush … There was nobody else in the restaurant until after we got our food. A family came in after we got our food and a lady abruptly ran from her chair gagging like she was about to puke and we instantly weren’t hungry anymore and started to get paranoid. We picked up a bottle of Pepto on the way home for just in case.

Food was pretty good. Server was good. But, charged me 75 cents for an extra barbecue sauce (very small cup was given with meal). Then charged me 50 cents for tap water, that didn’t even taste good. Never been to a restaurant that charges for tap water. Ridiculous!

Our 1st time there was tonight.
My wife had a grilled Cesar salad and I had the hamburger steak, baked potato and salad. After we ate, we sampled the bbq and it's so good. The staff is very friendly . I highly recommend you try this place out. We look forward to breakfast next time and many more trips afterwards.

Piedmont,Alabama isn't a hub for Food that you can't stop thinking about.
Honestly, we weren't expecting much when we walked into Roadside grill. It's Dark, definitely not a place that "catches the eye" because of Curb appeal. However, We did read a few reviews and we were hungry.
Extraordinarily Surprised is the only way I can describe how we felt after getting our meal. I ordered [can't remember name on menu] BBQ with Tater Tots and cheese sauce. My husband had their Cheese burger. Both were delicious. The BBQ was smoked to perfection and, well, it was a meal I want to order again soon. [Definitely Take out next time] My husband's burger was, in his words, "Worth the money and wait time", which is unusual for him.
We definitely recommend the Roadside Grill for their food, but personally, we will be ordering it to go next time (just not "our cup of tea " as far as atmosphere)
