While there is a wide variety of things to do at this facility, if you are looking for a gym, this is not the place that should come to mind. Seeing all the amenities this facility has, it is obvious that the gym/weight room is not a priority. Old equipment and a small area to workout is what you should expect. Most of the staff seem nice but have come across some that are rude. Decent family facility, with kids but not a go to gym facility.

Decent facility. Staff is mostly nice, have came across just a few that are rude. However my biggest issue is that my son goes to play basketball. He set his beats headphones down on the bleachers and someone somehow stole them while he was close by on the court. I left a very detailed message for the head of security of what court, what time and day it happened. You’d think they have cameras and every person has to check in, it should be easily rectified… nope never even got a call back or acknowledgement, sorry that happened we're looking into it… nothing. So don’t go here thinking these people care anything about what happens to your items while at their facility.

An incredible facility for health and fun. They have multiple swimming areas which include lap pools and lazy rivers and of course the water slides and kids play area. They also have a very clean workout rooms and locker rooms. One of my favorite things about this place is the view of the Illinois River while you are there. The back side facing the river is pretty much a wall full of Windows which makes for a beautiful scenery while having fun or working out.

I love this gym ❤️

There's a track, a few pools, a hot tub (and sauna!), as well as plenty of equipment and even a few courts if you want to play ball. It lines up right against the river so there's a great view, and a beautiful walking trail outside. The price is reasonable as well for everything offered.

My only complaints have been having my wallet stolen, being overcharged a time or two, one creeper (who was dealt with VERY quickly by staff- thank you, staff!!), and a negative interaction with management a long while back (regarding the wallet). Those all happened over the course of a few years, so all in all not bad. I go whenever I can. Just be sure to lock up your stuff! 🙂 I wish they had later hours on weekend, but they have great availability during the week and that helps make up for it!!

My family and I decided to go to the Riverplex to swim in their pool. We have a 2 month old and we want him to get used to being in the water. First of all, it was $20 per person to swim... including my 2 month old. that was $60 total. With how expensive it was, I was hoping that they had done some updates since the last time I was there when I was younger, but I continued to be disappointed. The women's locker rooms we in the same condition, if not worse, than they were over 10 years ago. There was no updates to the pools other than the fact that they got rid of the Inner Tubes for the lazy river. We first went into the lap pool, but then tried to venture to the lazy river only to find out there were not tubes and a sign posted saying "no children".. Our 2 month old son was looking cold, so we made our way over to the Therapy pool to sit in the warm 92 degree water (felt like bath water) to warm him up. We were then approached by a young man and told us that no children were allowed in the therapy pool. When we asked why, he couldn't even give us an answer he just said, "I am not sure, I just know that children aren't allowed in here".. I then just sat out of the pool with him wrapped in a towel. The facility was dirty and falling apart. The landing for the whirlpool looked like it was caving in, there were dirty bandaids on the ground, and it felt like there were so many rules that were unnecessary (other than the basic swimming pool safety rules). For as much as we paid, I expected so much more. We still can't believe that we had to pay for our 2 month old.. $20 just for him. They said "well he will be using the facilities, so you will have to pay for him." Just really really disappointed. We were really excited to go and we were hoping that we would have a lot of fun and that we would go back... but not for those prices and for the quality of the place.

I've been working out here for a while. It's a good facility. It has a civility and respect policy that is not being honored by some of the members, and sadly those types seem to be increasing in number. Just over the past two months I've overheard or observed people engaging in truly asinine speech, and sometimes behavior, that demeans the disabled people, LGBT people, women, and older people who work out there.Maybe their cult leader is loosening their tongues, or maybe they're overcompensating for their own shortcomings. Who knows?
The management is aware of this problem but seems at a loss what to do about it. So maybe the decent members--hopefully still a majority--need to speak out directly against the malignantly nasty members and report them if necessary for violating the Rplex's civility policy. I've started doing it, just because I want a decent place to work out with NO JERKS.

Came on a Saturday in July 2024, it's $20/person (non-members) for a day pass to use the kids' park. The kids park is only open for 2.5 hrs on select days. This kids have NO access to the 3ft, attached lazy river and the big slide was closed. I'm pretty sure the adults can survive a couple hours without the lazy river, especially when they have access to the 4 foot adult lanes in the other pool.

The 2 lifeguards walking around the very small area (which could be done by 1 person) claimed there was no one to operate the big slide. There was no discount and we got charged full price to use a quarter of the kids pool.

NOT WORTH IT. GO TO DRAGON LAND IN PEKIN!

Edit: after writting a formal complaint, a lifeguard was all-of-the-sudden available after and hr.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that there is no dedicated schedule for the other basketball gym. There’s no iconography indicating if the gym is in use and no times indicating availability. Also, why do 4 people need the entire court to do yoga? I love yoga. I love dance. I love all the additional activities they have for people, but it’s completely nonsensical that the entire gym is off limits for a few people who are basically stationary. UPDATE YOUR SCHEDULE BOARD. CREATE ICONS FOR THE BASKETBALL COURT. LET OTHER USE THE GYM AT THE SAME TIME. Other than that it’s great
