The Yellow Trail is awesome! But "moderate" should be taken with a grain of salt. More akin to "ADVANCED". While my crew made it through, it was not without difficulty and while I will ABSOLUTELY be doing this a thousand more times, I won't go with anyone who's not in top health conditions to traverse some steep rocky tricky terrain. Still, so cool!! Amazing views. This might be my new favorite hike in North Idaho.

Not that easy to navigate, we downloaded a map from the AllTrails app the second time we came so we wouldn't get lost. Lots of boulders to scramble over depending on the trail you take, if that doesn't sound fun, stick to the main two track road that winds down to the river.
There's a portapotty at the trailhead, and not much parking, so come early.

Great trails that are well marked and easy to follow. It is about 500' of elevation to climb from the river up to the trail head on West Riverview Drive. Also, you can make the climb easier by hiking up the old wagon trail or challenge yourself with one of the trails that goes up the hillside. There are a few great Vista views near the top.

A really great hiking area with different trails for all levels of hikers. The moderate (yellow) should almost be classified difficult. You will need both hands free in some places to climb on large rocks. The hike took 2 hours.
