Our family likes to stop here after going to Maple Grove hot springs or floating the Oneida Narrows.
My favorite is the Malibu chicken. I am a big fan of Oreo shakes and their passes the test.
Affordable for a big family and great service.

No dine in. It's a drive-in or sit on the covered patio. We were there in the evening and ate on the patio. With the breeze and the shade covering the patio, it was perfect temp. You get to overlook the valley to the south and it makes for a really great atmosphere. Probably the best part of our experience. For the price, the food is average. Not that the food is gross. We thought the burgers had a great taste and made well. The coolest thing about the burger was the hot iron branded polar bear logo on the bun...which the texture and hardiness of the bun is a plus. But we live 30min away in Logan Utah and did not feel like the food and the prices justified the 30 min drive. We decided In-And-Out burgers are as good but priced better. I was excited to try the shakes. I love malt and got their malted oreo shake. It was average. Hard to taste the malt but they did good on the cookies. In summary, If you are in Preston and you don't mind 10$+ good tasting burgers, it is worth the experience. My son got chicken strips. They charge you by the strip. One of the strips was significantly smaller and it was more batter than chicken. The chicken strips on the whole were disappointing. If you have a hankering for chicken strips this isn't the place. Quality, quantity for price, and flavor are lacking.

Was not a great experience. You can only dine outside. I guess it's our fault for going on a hot day. They tried to charge me for water. They don't give kids free refills when every fast food chain does, which is stupid. Especially when a kids meal is over $7, the kids liked the rodeo themed hats in the kids meals but seriously they're garbage probably cost less than $1 - and the normally $4 dollar root beer floats were $9 dollars for some "commemorative" boot cup. Save your money I would rather go to Artic Circle. Food was okay it reminded me of Inn & Out, they put very little fries in their kids meals combo meals, unlike Artic Circle. To reiterate not a great experience.

We drove up from Logan to come Polar Bear. Well worth the drive.

The shakes were really good. The onion rings were good also. They were not dry and crusty like other places. The chicken sandwich was really good. I think the sauce made it.

Definitely on our list for a quick date night.

Update: The fries are awesome! They seem to have a batter on them that adds texture and flavor.

The cashier did amazing taking our order and answering our questions yesterday evening. She made the experience much more positive. The food was great and we loved taking pictures with the polar bear.

As much flack as Polar Bear gets because it is not the same as the original is fair but also unwarranted. The fact of the matter is Polar Bear is not the same as it was 20+ years ago, but the place has a good vibe, friendly staff and great food. Honestly, I wish there was indoor seating, but I do love the outdoor seating, especially in the fall and spring. The burgers are made with high-quality fresh ingredients and taste amazing. The logo on the bun is a nice touch, though I do prefer a sesame seed bun if I'm being honest. I liked all of the different options for fries they had, and I loved their onion rings, but they are tempura battered, so they are not for everyone. If you like a lighter panko crusted onion ring, you might think they have too much breading. Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of their shakes. Both of the ones I tried tasted more like vanilla ice cream with stuff in it rather than a blend of vanilla ice cream and the mix-ins, if that makes sense. Maybe because there wasn't enough of the mix-ins, I'm not sure. Overall, though, I would highly recommend Polar Bear.

If you haven't been here before it's definitely worth the try. It's probably the best quick bite in town. All the food was good. The drinks were good too. The price wasn't terrible and the service was accommodating. I'll definitely be stopping by again next time I pass through.
