Petit Paree has been holding it down in Festus for over 60 years, and it’s easy to see why. Sure, people usually go for the steaks (not my thing), but there’s plenty to love even if you’re skipping the red meat.

Last time I went, I got the lobster Rangoon and the swordfish—and wow, both were incredible. Definitely #StLouispescatarianapproved The vibe inside is shabby chic French, and I usually grab a spot at the bar to eat and get a little work done. Always a good time.

Pretty good food and atmosphere. They are a bit over priced on steaks and seafood but it's nice and peaceful inside. I will say just skip the scallops. For $28 you get 6 tiny scallops. They are cooked good but not worth it. However, thier fried cod sandwich is some of the best fried fish I ever had and why I'm rating 4 stars. I would go back just for that the toast appetizers and some of the best French onion soup you can get.

Took daughter here for a celebration steak dinner and they did not disappoint! Waitress was very nice and food was great! My husband ordered the potato soup and said it was filling and had good taste. My daughter and I ordered the steak special and it was AMAZING! Cooked and seasoned perfectly!

Great dining experience for me being close to home. The food was excellent and the ambiance was also.The staff was very friendly and attentive and Jonathan my waiter was the best. I heard about him already once and I finally got to meet him. Everyone should try this place.

Would have gone to a 4.5 star rating if possible. Table service from Jon was top notch - he did an excellent job taking care of us during our night out for dinner. My wife's filet was very good and cooked to a temp of her liking. The scallops served with my plate were delicious and seasoned just right. The grouper did seem a bit over done as it wasn't as flaky as it could have been but overall this didn't spoil the evening by any means and the only reason not a 5 star review.

The food was excellent. Dining and atmosphere were very relaxing. I would have to say that our waiter was hands down the best waiter I have ever had anywhere my wife and I have ever gone to eat. He was very kind and knew the menu inside and out. I would honestly recommend just visiting this place to meet the waiter. 😁

He works on Friday and Saturdays.

I would 100% recommend this place if you enjoy an old setting and food made with pride.

The history of the place is very interesting, and I can't believe this place has been around for 64 years, and I have just now been for the first time!

This opinion was based on the second time going there and having the exact same result as the first time we went.

The bill is going to be roughly $$$ for two but totally worth it.

All in all, I give this place an 8.7 out of 10 because their bathrooms just need a small update.
