Beautiful hidden gem in Geneva. A bit of a hike further out into the suburbs, but worth it if you plan ahead of time pack lunch and snacks. Great kids nature playground with a small water feature kids can play in. Lots of room to roam around, fishing dock, picnic areas, and butterfly garden.

Only complaint are the bathrooms. They could definitely be cleaned more often. They have flush toilets which is great, but needed good cleaning and the floor was quite filthy.

Butterfly garden was a nice last stop for the kiddos before leaving for the day. Lots of beautiful butterflies but also lots of dead ones all over the garden beds. Kiddo was asking if they were sleeping and why some wings were broken. There was one attendant at the door to make sure you entered and exited safely from the exhibit but wished there was another staff in the actual garden to talk about the butterflies.

Overall great experience and would come back again soon!

Cute smaller places, but we had a great time anyway. Loved the butterfly house which is BTW free they just take donations. They have a playground for the kiddos, walking trails to see the water, and I think I read a place to get ice cream and drinks possibly. Overall, we were happy with our visit and probably would come back again, especially to see the butterflies.

What a special place. The butterfly garden is so cool and beautiful. Plenty to do here with lots of parking, shade and beautiful gardens. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend checking this place out. What a fun time and great place to spend an afternoon.

We visited in cold snowy Feb so my pictures aren't filled with the butterflies of everybody else's but I honestly really liked this place the way it was today.

There were restrooms that were open, the house was open and the dude was really friendly. The silo was shut, and obviously so was the butterfly garden.

My kids LOVED this playground, there was something for all three kids (5, 8, 9). The playground is wooden and has rope and bridge sections, there's a musical area, a hut, a dry river bed which I bet makes this place jammers in the summer when it's flowing. There are picnic tables, a small amphitheater around a fire pit, old barns and farming equipment to look at.

We only did the short walk down to the frozen lake so I can't comment on the trails but it's flat prairie so you know exactly what you're gonna get lol.

The house was a real treat. They have snakes, a box turtle, prairie dogs, a really nice little kids area, and a room filled with the history of Eli Peck's life and the land. We will definitely be back.

One thing to note! I was there with a group and one thing that didn't occur to me as the kids I had with me are old enough to know better, but people with younger kids brought up the busy road right by the playground with a fence that definitely isn't substantial enough to be a deterrent to wandering toddlers.
