This is a popular access to the beach opposite the shopping center at the south end of the Anastasia Beach community. There's a small parking area & gravel road in serious need of grading, as it easily becomes filled with pools of all sizes after a rain (hence the one star debit). It has a couple of picnic tables bordering the parking lot. The walkway itself is well done and includes some seating along the way. Beautiful views of flora, birds, and a marshy lake area west of the dunes.

Want a nice quiet cool place get away from crowds in St Augustine and waste an hour or two? Small beachside park with clean accessible facilities, a walkway that takes you over the low spots adjacent to the beach. Lots of wading birds around and picturesque botanical scenery as well.

The beach is wide open (driving permitting so be aware) but it’s cordoned off and slow 10mph. There are almost always people trying out the surf usually lots of fun to watch.

Parking is limited but if you can time it right this is a hidden gem to grab some relaxing me time for yourself and or family.

Parking is free, so that's a big win with me! There were plenty of spaces when I went (on a Thursday afternoon). There's a boardwalk that goes down to the ocean. It's not terribly long, so it should be manageable for most people. There are a few benches built into the boardwalk in case you need to rest along the way. There is a wheelchair ramp at the end of the boardwalk, going into the sand. There were a cpuple lizards sunning on the boardwalk. They were small and fast! Be advised- there is no bathroom of any kind at this lot, no showers, no foot rinse stations.. nothing. This is only parking to get down to the beach. The neighborhood in this area seemed safe and well to-do. The condos were being maintainenced as I was there. They are well kept. There were quite a few people driving their trucks/SUVs on the beach. Apparently, it's allowed, but I don't know if it requires a permit. There was alao a police vehicle that made a pass through on the beach, so it seems there is a good effort to atkeeping this area safe. The sand of the beach was nice and soft. There were shells, but most were broken. The waves were large here, so maybe not a great place to swim, but still a great place to relax. It wasn't too crowded while I was there between 1p and 3pm.
