We have LOVED our instructors at mountain wave swimming, really 10/10! However every person I’ve talked to who has known or has brought their kids there says, “we loved the instructors, just so you know it’s pretty getto and kind of dirty…”

We have attended here for two years and took the winter months off to then start up again for this season to come back to higher prices and a very dirty environment. My son today walked in and said, “hey mom the water looks clearer and it’s not as dirty this time.”

Last summer while attending I would put our swim bag down to come back and have ants on it and see them crawling all over the floor. There is also a lot of random equipment laying around that is not safe with how many children are running around. For how expensive this place has become I would hope for a five star environment.

There has also been a lot of policy changes, scheduling changes, and it’s hard to keep up with and extremely frustrating at times.

Over all I would say I’ve been satisfied with the experience for my kids and feel very confident with the safety skills and swimmings abilities they have learned from mountain wave swimming.

I was referred to Mountain Wave from a friend, honestly not really knowing what to expect. The private 1:1 lessons seemed pricey at first, but now seeing what I’ve experienced with my daughter, I am BLOWN. AWAY. Many places teach basic safety first but the strides kids typically make aren’t as quick. They have it down to a system that truly WORKS! Every instructor my daughter has worked with has been phenomenal and I’ve been recommending Mountain Wave to everyone I know, some even driving 45 minutes each way. Take my word for it - It’s worth it!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I spent 4 months with my 2 yo in a different program somewhere else and he has learned and progressed more in 5 lessons than he ever did in all his time there. They work on survival and the simple basics. The instructors are great with the kids and you can tell they know exactly how to help them progress. I love it here! Worth every penny.

this place is the best! it makes me wish we never would have to leave idaho so all our babies could come here to get lessons! the instructors are so patient and knowledgeable. my boy has learned so much is such a short amount of time which makes me so excited for summers in the pool for him and less nervous for him around the water! it’s an investment and may be a sacrifice but so so worth it!!! also such a good way to get out with your kid and get them worn out, it’s my favorite place to go now!

Our almost 2 year old son took lessons here and we were really impressed. He learned a lot in just a few lessons. The environment is comfortable and welcoming. They have a play area for the kids to play in while they wait for their lesson and private changing areas to change in and out of their swimsuits. The 20 minute lessons are the perfect length for kids- long enough to learn new skills and short enough to keep them focused. The staff know what they are doing and are great with kids.

We have loved our experiences with Mountain Wave Swimming! We have been taking lessons from them since they opened a couple years ago. My daughter was terrified to even get her head wet in the bath tub and after a handful of lessons she was able to do a back float after going all the way under the water. The confidence both my children have gained has been incredible to watch and the peace of mind the survival skills give me as a mama are invaluable! The instructors are well trained on not only swimming instruction but child development and how to work with children of all personality types and ability levels. The owners are so involved and dedicated to continual growth, water safety education to parents and children, and making sure each child has a positive experience. I would highly recommended Mountain Wave Swimming!

We have done swimming lessons a few different places and Mountain Wave was the best hands down. Both my girls learned to swim and the 20 minute lessons are perfect for kids so they aren’t loosing interest. Emily was amazing and wouldn’t let my 3 year old say she couldn’t do it. Highly recommend!

Seriously, the best! We’d had two other swim lesson experiences that were nowhere near as effective or positive. After a week, my child is not scared to put their face in the water, can float on their back for a minute, and said they never want to stop swimming lessons. Emilee is a truly exceptional teacher!
