Monica's Crab Shack

We got low country boil, it was so yummy ? Service was great took no time to cook it fresh. We will be going back again.

We ate in Monica's Crab Shack on the way from Destin to Atlanta. I definitely recommend the place and would eat there again. I had their crab boil. The food was fresh, tasted delicious, the portion was very big; the ambiance is simple, but everything is very clean. The food is cooked to order (this is not fast food in any sense of the word). Since their menu is not posted anywhere on Internet, that crab boil had two clusters of crabs, fish, shrimp, corn cobs, potatoes and was $23. They also had shrimp and fish dishes, fried seafood platter etc. The restaurant is tucked among trees some half a minute off the main road, hwy 431 (Destin/Panama City to ATL).

This was a couple years ago and I didn't think about leaving reviews. Anyway, a couple of times they actually had collard greens on the menu and my sick mom wanted those badly. I don't remember what else we ordered but there was a very nice young lady who actually delivered our order since we only live a half mile down the road. I think this happened twice and both times the food was EXCELLENT! We enjoyed it very much. On another night, months later, we stopped in and ordered fish. It's been a while so I cant remember what else we had but the food was very good, the place was clean and nice and the service was great. We will definitely be back.

I went for my 1st time the other night an let me be Honest I ordered the Rib box and let me tell you the portion size of Ribs you get an you can tell they have ave been smoked. I am now a Regular here at Monica's Crab shack! They have a Very good DJ as well on Wednesday night Friday an Saturday!

We stopped here on the way to the beach from a vacation in Atlanta...it's just off the main road. I wish we could have something like this in Arizona. The low country boil was phenomenal and the service was great! The crab was perfectly cooked along with everything else. I am not normally a fan of shrimp in a boil but these ladies nailed it!! Love coming upon local finds like this, do NOT pass this up!!

This was such a fun little place for our group. We loved the serendipity of decor. The seafood was plentiful, perfectly cooked and so delicious. Well worth the jaunt to Abbeville!

I'm not a fan of crab at all. But I tried theirs and it is definitely worth going back for. I didn't go in. My husband did and got our food to go. So I can't comment on the environment or anything. But the food was really good.
