If you’re in the Hartford area, it’s worth the trip out to LuAnn’s. Great environment and even better food. I stopped for a coffee and the Breakfast Fiesta Wrap. Looking forward to the opportunity to try more of their menu items

Great coffee and treats! I love their lattes and baked goods. The BLTA with salad was delicious. They have so many breakfast, lunch and treat options. Their coffee flight nights are super fun. They have lots of parking and cute seating inside. My only complaint is that I wish they were open on Sundays!

2.17.24 How did I not know about this gem until now? What a fabulous cafe and bakery. Lots of parking. You walk up and as you enter you go to the right in line. There are breads, cookies pies, etc. to pick up, along with items in the freezer, or you can get these amazing cupcakes, goodies to go. Or you can order, find a table, and they bring it all to you. Cozy, casual and comfy. The breakfast bowls and coffee were amazing. Can't wait to go back for other goodies.

The food at Luann's Bakery is fantastic—always fresh and delicious. I also appreciate the community focus they have, which adds a nice touch to the experience. However, the pricing is out of control. $20 for a sandwich and a coffee you have to make yourself feels excessive. We got two sandwiches and two coffees, and it felt overpriced for what we received.

What makes it worse is the tipping system. After already paying premium prices, you're handed a tablet with a suggested tip of $11—just for handing you a empty coffee cup. It feels greedy and out of place for a self-service setup.

I wish I could visit more often because I enjoy the food and the vibe, but the cost and tipping expectations hold me back. If the prices were more reasonable, this place would easily be 5 stars.

Absolutely love this place. The owner, Josh, and his family are the sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. The workers love their job and you can really tell. If you’re ever in the area, you need to come here!!!

I went for lunch.ordered a chicken wrap($14.99) which came with a side salad.
Brought it out to my car. And the sandwich was a very large tortilla.
It was stale. I unrolled it and there was I would say maximum of 2 tablespoon of chicken. I didn't see that it was grilled . And the sandwich wasn't even cut in half.
I took it back into the store and very politely said " this is not worth very nice gentleman brought it in the back a woman came out and asked me if I would like a replacement. I said yes thank you . I got a BLT with avocado on it.
This also was not cut in half. It was two pieces of toasted white bread. Three or four slices of bacon. And I would say 1 1/2 slices of tomato. Although I've never really heard of a restaurant serving the bottom end cut of a tomato and the top that was cut off , they out the middle of it and gave me that remaining piece of tomato.
And you would think that if a customer is not happy and the quality of food is not up to par , that the restaurant would go above and beyond to make things right .
So NOT right. I think Luann's should stick to the sweets .

Amazing! Everything was amazing.

I had the quinoa and power greens salad, 5 stars.

My wife had a breakfast wrap, 5 stars.

My step daughter had French toast, 5 stars.

We also ordered a banana fosters cupcake, cinnamon coffee cake, 5 stars.

Chai latte, maple latte, 5 stars.

Fast, friendly service. Clean. Just a stellar place.

When we lived in northern CT LuAnn's was a local favorite spot for my now husband and I, but since moving to more central CT, we haven't been able to treat ourselves as regularly to their delicious bakery items and wide varieties of cafe style drinks in front of their cozy fireplace! So when we got married at the beginning of September this year, we already knew we wanted to hire LuAnn's as one of our vendors!

Even though we had lots of rain on our wedding day, Luann's brightened our special day with their delicious gluten free cupcakes delivered in Cooper, their 1970s Volkswagen beetle parked outside our venue! Josh arrived early and the line to get a cupcake was buzzing with excitement, with each friend and family member excited about what cupcake to choose! We printed a sign displaying the flavors we had selected (3 chocolate and 5 vanilla based flavors from a 3 page list) so everyone knew their options but all choices were superb! The cupcakes were perfectly displayed against the vibrant green color of the vintage car with the trunk popped open, with Josh engaging with our guests the entire time!

While we know a cake cutting is a traditional staple for weddings, we wanted something different and we could not recommend LuAnn's more! Please, if you are near the Ellington area and looking for quality made food and drinks, stop in to Luann's! AND if you are looking for an incredible addition to your already beautifully planned wedding, definitely consider hiring LuAnn's for their fabulous cupcakes!
