This is a fun place to take the family to skate. But be aware they rent hockey skates not ice skates. You can of course bring your own skates. There are bleachers outside of the rink to sit and watch. There is a step that is easily missed because the lighting in the rink is low and it is covered in the black foam padding so children should be careful. The restrooms are pretty dirty. There is a vending machine available for food. The staff is very friendly and the pricng for family skate night was great!

One of the last places to go to get some good quality hockey for our youth. Staff are great and the coaching is far better then some of the other organizations we've tried.

I wish hockey was year round. Love watching the LC Lightening play and the team, my nephew Adam 12 included, have such great teamwork and commaradarie playing together. Last two games were the end of February & March 3rd and we had a great tailgate parties outside with Chili and Frybread and Hot Apple Cider! Can't wait for next season ?

No doubt having an Ice arena in the Lc valley is an attribute, however, there is really no reason issues, complaints and mistakes can’t be handled somehow, reading the reviews of just the last 2 weeks is very telling and I would like to leave a good review and would have if any effort to fix an honest mistake was taken, I took my son and his friend 2 weeks ago and was charged $30 not $20, yes I take responsibilities for not specifically telling the cashier I wasn’t skating , though he could have asked and actually seen we only rented 2 sets of skates, upon contacting the ice rink about the issue and giving them a chance to rectify the mistake…. Nothing, no response 2 emails to separate occasions, as for me and my family we will not go there anymore ?

Can't get a hold of anyone about the price of anything like free skate after 8, no pricing on website or anything, kind of stupid not to have these things easily available in this day in age.

Regarding the public skating……

Entirely too many people allowed on the ice at one time, there was no direction enforced, or any rules for that matter, and absolutely HORRIBLE rental skates. $50 for 5 people, would have been reasonable price for the experience of ice skating. However, none of us wanted to stay after 30 minutes due to the PAINFUL skates, and the chaotic, overcrowded, and (due to the amount of people) “choppy” ice.
The service was unprofessional, as I feel the cashier was overwhelmed.

We had THEE best time skating here as a family of 6! Our 4 kiddos were brand new to the ice , but they provided 5gallon buckets you could stack & use to navigate around.
We all had a fabulous time, reasonably priced , great service .
We will be back 🙂 thank you LC Ice for having us 🙂
