I attended a birthday party at Langley's on the grounds of the Great Neck Country Club. We were seated in a large room with booths and tables, as well as a large fireplace. A buffet was set up next to that room, where our food was served. They started with appetizers: cheese and crackers, grapes, and raw veggies. The salad was on tiered plates so you could choose which ingredients you wanted. There was a carving station with roast beef and turkey. They had cranberry sauce and horseradish available with the meat. There was another open area with a fireplace and seating for another event. Near the buffet area, you could sit outside to eat and a fire pit available. This looked out over the beautiful golf course. There was also a bar and restaurant inside. The food was very good. They served marsala chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and pasta. The wait staff kept everything moving and served the birthday cake and ice cream. I thought this was a great venue for an event or just dinner out. I don't know anything about pricing since I was a guest.

Although the restaurant looked nice the food was lackluster. Has the vibes of a higher class restaurant but the food didn't deliver. My salad came half rotten and after taking a bite my partner realized his salad was also bad. The food was overcooked and dry. I got lobster Mac and cheese which also had bad lettuce on the side I think it was supposed to be a garnish. The staff was wonderful very polite though.

If it wasn't for the quality of the food and service, I would have only given 1 star. We had a party here. Communication was lacking from initial contact to finish. Emails were the way to go to get answers as I would never get a return phone call. I scheduled a time to come in and discuss details weeks in advance bc I live in Virginia and when I arrived, the manager had no idea I was coming even though I had Emails confirming the appointment.
I reached out a week before the party to confirm final numbers and never got a return call. I did get a return email that just said "all set."

After the party was over, we had to wait over 40 minutes to settle the bill.

What saved the day was the quality of the food and our lead server anna. Food was excellent and Anna was attentive, professional, kind and just awesome.

The main ballroom area is quite outdated and dirty. The carpet is soaked with stains, the table skirts are dirty. The ceiling was caked with dust, as were the vents. Our vendors made the place look great and took the average eye away from all the eyesores in the room.

Unfortunately, this seems to be one of the only places in the area to host a party.

One of the most disturbing issues was during set up, I noticed a server scooping ice from a white bucket (not labeled ice) with each individual water glass. I would highly recommend someone train the servers to not use glassware to scoop ice as the glass could chip into the ice well or bucket.

As a professional in the business, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for hosting your event unless Langley's starts putting more effort into the cleanliness of the dining areas and training their staff on proper food handling/safety.

Seriously, I haven't gotten something so far that I didn't like until I got food poisoning after eating a porchop meal. That had stopped us from eating here anymore. But....
First time coming here for dinner. A lot of busyness because of functions and a little loud but was a nice atmosphere in the dining area. Nice fireplace going and very quaint. Service was good, and food was exactly how we asked for it. They let me tweak the flat bread because of my allergies so I could enjoy my meal. I definitely would come here again.
I have to say I really am enjoying this place. I love sitting by the fireplace, and truly, the atmosphere is great, and we have always had a great waitress. Very on top of things. My boyfriend always gives me three options to pick to eat for dinner, and I have to say Langley's is always one of the options. Have always had a great meal, and currently, I'm stuck on the flatbread. A redo place over and over so far.
I've been trying other meals. The pork chop meal is very delicious. The bone is a very small rib. It's all meat and very juicy. But then I got really sick after and had to go to the emergency room after. So unfortunate.

Here for a wedding reception. The club itself is stunning, and the staff is incredible. Everyone is kind, professional, and maintains a very clean and well-kept place. Food is delicious and I cannot express enough how well they put everything together.

If you want to eat old, uncooked food and get sick, please go to this restaurant. Yes restaurant has nice view, but view cannot satisfy your appetite. I dont think chef of this restaurant went to any culinary school. I tasted Americn food in hundreds of restaurants and this is by far the Worst! Servers were extremely rude and place was unhygienic.
