Our lessons with Coach Andi and Coach Santiago have been AMAZING. My son started at Lakeside with very little experience at age 4 and has gone from not wanting to be in the water (and ESPECIALLY not dipping his head under) to swimming confidently swimming by himself within a year. Now every day after school he asks us "do we have swim class today?!" as it's the thing he looks forward to the most each week.

We had done one lesson at age 2 over at Wright College (City Colleges) and that was a good lesson but they closed around Covid times and we moved out of the neighborhood before they re-opened. We also took a class at a Big Blue Swim School and that was pretty bad (way way way too crowded and overpriced). Lakeside Swim school has been by far the best experience of the three and I would highly recommend to any parent and all levels/ages as they work closely with each student to ensure they progress at a comfortable level.

Lakeside swim school has been a wonderful space for all swim students! I am a full time nanny and the awesome kid I nanny has some sensory difficulties. Swimming has been a bit of a challenge for him, but Coach Andi has been working with him step by step within this past year. I’ve seen so much progress and growth in the kid I nanny and so happy Coach Andi has taken so much time to help him face his challenges! Would absolutely recommend Coach Andi and the other coaches at Lakeside swim for all kinds of students!!

Just finished 11 private adult 60min lessons. My classes were at Swift elementary, they are a bit cheaper than other swim schools at only $90 and I had a couple semi-private at $111. I worked primarily with Coach Matt. He is a class favorite, so make sure you book him in advance. He’s been coaching for a very long time and it shows. He’s fantastic with kids and even better with adults. As a beginner swimmer Matt help me overcome fears and learn many different ways to swim, and survive in water. I am more confident in the water now than ever before. I came to Lakeside after a few lessons at Blue Dolphin so that I could get experience in deep water. Well worth the switch. Transparently though, Swift is not the cleanest, the kids run the locker rooms and they are often quite gross. Finally, they offer a discount if you purchase your classes in bundles of 5 (highly recommend). Thank you Lakeside and thank you soooo much Matt!

We love Lakeside Swim School! My kids especially love coach Santiago, he is gentle, listens to them and he can speak both English and Spanish - which I greatly appreciate! Coach Santiago is amazing!

Much to say about lakeside swim school for you to consider. They used to have a great coach and my son learned to swim very fast. The coach Matt was great, unfortunately he is not there anymore. Since coach mat left and also Nada -the one in charge for all the classes schedule related, we have been having a bad experience and as right now I can’t recommend this place. I have been trying to talk with the manager but so far no possible. The assistant in charge right now, Maria has an awful attitude! Never willing to help and I am starting to feel that she has something personal with me. Not kind or soft skills to working with the public. She hanged up the phone whenever I asked to stop the attitude and this is not a very nice treat to the clients. Coach Will, doesn’t have skills as well to teach young children and he spend half of the class with the kids playing,I have been notifying this but no change so far. Putting that aside, the school is a good school or it used to be, if you are lucky to be with coach andy, and be helped by nada the you should be fine! Unfortunately right now the new personnel stops me to recommend this place.

The lessons with Santiago have improved my child’s strokes and endurance. Coach Santiago is encouraging and makes the lessons fun. I would recommend him.
