This past Friday, a couple friends and I were finally able to stop in to Konala, in Post Falls.

What I didn’t know when we arrived was that it doesn’t have any dine-in option but they do have a few tables (with umbrellas) outside, so you can sit there and enjoy their food.

We each tried something different and each of us really liked what we ordered.

The first order was their Teriyaki Chicken bowl with half white rice and half greens. My friend enjoyed it, but did get some additional teriyaki sauce.

I was the second to order and went with their Poke Bowl, with all greens as my base. The Ahi Tuna was fresh and delicious. Easy to eat, there was zero silver skin to deal with. This was one of the best poke salads I have had in a while. The spicy mayo had a nice little kick and the cucumber salad that was part of the toppings really added a wonderful flavor.

The last to order asked the person taking our orders what their favorite was. He stated that he really liked the seasonal bowl which was Mango Blackened Shrimp, so my friend went with that on half brown rice and half greens. She said it was so yummy and did have a little kick. They didn’t skimp on the shrimp and was very happy she gave it a try.

We all agreed that we’ll be coming back. Another thing we all agreed on was that if this was in Spokane, we would probably find ourselves there a lot!

One other thing that deserves a mention, they do have a drive-thru.

These bowls are packed with so much flavor! I got the Greek bowl and my friend got the Honey Sriracha Chicken bowl, both so good! They even have free pup cups for your pooch (it's a small cup filled with chicken). Highly recommend checking this place out

A fun experience if you are looking for a simple healthy dish. The jerk chicken I got was super spicy. The food was good. The fish I got was very basic. It was similar to a type of salad with white rice and jerk chicken.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. The reviews are all over the board so I tried it out today to decide for myself.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed.
I ordered the teriyaki chicken and asked to substitute the broccoli for cucumber.
It was an upcharge of $2 to substitute.
It cost just over $15.
When they handed me the "Tiny" bowl (7 inches across & 1 1/2 inches tall) I was not happy!
You get more in a happy meal!
The chicken was dry and tasteless.
The carrot shreds were obviously store bought (mildew smell) not freshly cut.
Cucumber slices were minimal and very bland.
Rice very lumpy.
Their prices are very high for what you get, which I would not mind so much if the food was good.

KONALA IS AMAZING!

10/10 recommend trying it out! Everything is on the menu is delicious. I read some reviews about pricing- compared to your order at Taco Bell and the quality of ingredients Konala uses.. it's not a big price difference.

Not only it the food good, the staff is SOOO friendly!

Food was okay,(vegetables and fruit are the stars) it's a good option for something healthy. Biggest let down was the portion to price ratio but I understand "fresh ingredients" can be costly to a business.

IF YOU ARE CELIAC/GLUTEN FREE COME HERE!!

So far I have tried Konala twice, there teriyaki bowl and there Sriracha chicken bowl, both were decently good! Here's the thing the food isn't outstanding in flavor for the price I feel as though there can be a bit more flavor in there food BUT overall that's about the only gripe I have. The portions are fair and the quality of the food is great. Fresh and quick.

As a celiac this is EASILY going to be my new favorite place. Fast food I can eat let alone HEALTHY fast food I can eat is unheard of (if you have celiac restrictions you know it's hard to just eat anywhere with no worries and FAST)

I give this place a 41/2 outta 5 stars only because flavor is lacking a little bit but I will be coming back, likely often. Nothing a little salt or soy sauce cant fix 🙂
