This is an older but nice place to stay. The inside of the cabins have been updated and are clean. The pool is also nice and clean. Since it is older there are a few quirks such as our bathroom didn’t have an outlet to plug in our hairdryer but there was a mirror with an outlet in our room that worked just fine. The kitchen in cabin 8 didn’t have an overhead light. There was a battery powered light mounted but the batteries were dead so it didn’t work. We just ended up taking one of the small lamps out of the bedroom and plugged it in the kitchen and it worked out fine. Again, just little quirks that were really no big deal. We didn’t think about bringing any games with us and there weren’t any in the game room so I recommend bringing your own. The game room does have arcade style games you can pay to play but some of them just ate our money and wouldn’t work so we gave up. I love that they allow dogs at the facility! The dock is very nice with good boat slips. There’s a grocery store about 5 minutes away which is very convenient. Overall this is a nice place to stay and I would stay there again!

The rooms were so nice and clean and the people running it are incredible humans!! We had such a nice relaxing stay here and its proximity to the lake was perfect! They were so good to us and treated us so well!! They had lots of amenities open to use and we will definitely be back!!

Extremely pleased with the accommodations, facility and location on/near the water. Staff was very professional and timely on questions. Will attempt to stay there every time we are in the Kimberling City area. Would highly recommend them for anyone's stay in the area.

We have been going to TRL for 35 years. We have stayed at 5 different resorts during that time. Kimberling Oaks is our new favorite. Nothing fancy, but we were not disappointed. 4 bedroom, 2 bath, central air, large deck, great views of the lake, pet-friendly, well-maintained boat docks AND gently sloping terrain from the cabin to the water. Big plus, minutes from main highway to get us anywhere we wanted to go.We loved it so much, we revisited a month later. Staff is super friendly. Our new go-to TRL resort.

This is the second time we stayed at this resort. The first time in 2023 in cabin 10 and this year 2024 in cabin 11. We had a wonderful time! Both cabins had a terrific view of the lake and the dock, where we kept our
boat. The cabins were clean and spacious. The management was super friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We had a problem with the dishwasher and they fixed it promptly that day. We used the fire pit, paddle boards, and swimming pool, all just right outside the cabins. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We will be back!

First time here and we rented cabins 4, 5, and 6 with 2 other families for 3 nights. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The atmosphere was perfectly laid back and the customer service felt like you were being taken care of by a friendly neighbor. Very responsive and accommodating!

The boat rental experience was excellent (fair cost and excellent condition and power as we were pulling 3 tubes). The onsite pool was great, but swimming off the dock and having a couple of kayaks and paddleboards available was the kid's preferred swim experience.

Excellent outdoor shelter/pavillion with plenty of picnic tables and awesome huge gas grills available.

Between the families we had 14 people between us and it was plenty of space and time to chill before moving some of our kids into College of the Ozarks.

Thank you! And we hope to come back for a few years in a row when we move the kids back into school!

It has come to an end. It has had numerous owners and the guys who bought it out live in New York and don't have a clue but did jack the price up considerable. . We had been going there for over 15 years and sadly it has gone down hill more each year. In cabin 11 the burned out lights bulbs were never replaced. (maybe you got a new lightbulb that was 1/2 the wattage of the original). They don't check to make sure the previous renter washed the dishes. The carpet going to the basement always had sharp objects sticking out from underneath that numerous times stuck the kiddos making their feet bleed. The pool is in bad shape, lots of cracks and rust coming through. The door coming in did not have a door handle, so you either had to lock in or keep it open. Don't be fooled by the pictures, looking at the pictures on the current 2024 website, they painted a few walls, and tore up some carpet. One positive highlight was the Friday morning pancake breakfast, which was discontinued and the ice cream shop ( when it was open), very rarely.

The issues began night one. The fridge would not cool. Upon investigating the bottom was coated with dirt, pet hair, lint, etc. After vacuuming the coils the fridge kept our food somewhat cool. The AC filter and bathroom vents were just as filthy. In cabin 11 there is a shelf on the stairs in the worst place! The poor kids smacked their heads constantly! ||The new owners do not live close and do not care about their guests. After booking the trip and paying our downpayment they decided to raise the price or we would forfeit our deposit. We paid the increase, but felt this was very unprofessional. They stated renovations were the cause of the increase. Some bad painting on the kitchen cabinets and vinyl flooring were the only things noticeably different. Even the TV’s are still outdated along with the other appliances and decor. ||We used to stay at this resort years ago when it had owners that cared about people and their resort. We requested a quote for the next year after leaving just to see what the prices were like. They have at least TRIPLED the price for a stay!! AND stated they CANNOT promise there will not be increases in price even AFTER you have booked / paid your deposit. NO. THANK. YOU!| |Save yourself the disappointment and time on the phone and book elsewhere, you’ll thank me later.
