I sign up my daughter as in private class with Coach Emory! Coach Emory was so patient and supportive on lessons that my daughter would do or won’t. she have learned so much had so much fun getting to know her but Unfortunately upcoming class will be last for both her and the coach. We will miss her but continue class with different coach from the same school.

This is our second summer at Kay’s. My little guy has autism and is naturally a little fish. The instructors are so patient and really know how to get his attention and maintain it. I’ve seen such an improvement with our little guy’s strokes. He looks forward to swim lessons every Summer now.

My two oldest have both learned to swim by age 3/4 at Kay’s! It’s been incredible to watch these teachers help boost the kids’ confidence and overcome fears of putting faces in water or jumping off the diving board. I’m so grateful to Kim & Rowan & Laurel & Autumn & Emory… (we’ve had many sessions!) and their kid-friendly approaches to learning to swim. If you want the biggest cheer leaders for your kids- sign up to swim here:)

My first semester at Kay’s went well. However my second semester ended in much frustration. They teach kids to swim in life jackets every single lesson! I found it odd but went along with it at first. My daughter hated the life vest and I told the instructor I would rather her not wear one anyway because swimming in a life vest was not my goal at all. Quite the opposite actually! She told my daughter she could not swim and made her sit on the edge of the pool. Once it was free time I put my daughter back in the water to privately work on back
Floats and a couple of other skills since we paid to be there. The instructor told me I couldn’t let her swim and we were asked to leave. It was shocking to say the least. She did apologize to me on the way out which I appreciate but it still doesn’t change the fact that they don’t teach and encourage independent swimming skills. The other parents from the class approached me in the parking lot after to let me know they were upset with the way things were handled so I know it was not just me that felt how inappropriate it all was. So I guess if you want your kids to learn in a life vest this is the place for you but don’t expect any independent skills to be developed! Also they use puddle jumpers which teaches kids to swim upright in the drowning position.

We have been taking our daughter to Kay's since she was around 6 months old. It's been almost a year, and she still absolutely loves it!! She blows bubbles, can crawl out of a pool, is understanding the concept of swimming and working on floating. Autumn has been an incredible instructor for her in the tots group class. We were students at a couple different places around the area and have a strong preference for Kay's.

I signed my 5 year old for the summer session (2024)-- our coach, Emory, was the perfect balance of nurturing and challenging throughout the program. With Kay's program, I really liked the small/ intimate class sizes, the 45 min long session to ensure everyone got the direction they needed, and I thought the progression of the summer program flowed perfectly. My son was very intimidated by the water, but the end, was jumping off the diving board and swimming the length by himself. Would really recommend to anyone who is looking for more intentional teaching for their kiddos!

My husband and I are so pleased to find a safe place for our little man to learn to swim. He is definitely more confident now, than the first day. Coach Laurel is amazing and these ladies are extremely patient and passionate with their children's safety and learning to swim. The saltwater heated pool is a huge plus.

I highly recommend Kay’s! We have done several sessions of private lessons with Autumn. Both of my children have special needs (Down syndrome, adhd) and have been treated with compassion, kindness and respect. They both have gained so many swimming skills and confidence. Autumn has been able to truly connect with both of my kids! They look forward to going every week!
