Simply, this is one of the favorite playgrounds loved by my children. Many locals love to visit here with kids and it has wide grounds that many kids can play together. There are public toilets and enough parking lots. Many trees provide enough shades, except the playground for young children (2-5years). Highly recommend to any family who travel with young children. You may want to stop by to take a break and use the toilets.

What a great playground for the kids. Lots to do for the kids to exert their energy. Lots of equipment for them to play on. This park is pretty huge, but we only visited the playground area. As we could see was a open grass field, basketball courts/ tennis courts, picnic areas as well as lots of free parking. So I would definitely recommend this park if you have young kids and it’s free.

This is the king of playgrounds. Loved it, the kids loved it. It’s a huge playground with a nice sitting area in the middle for parents to guard the only way out of the playground. The kids had a blast and played for over an hour. Really charming and unique with sections for different age groups. Bathrooms were clean and ample parking as well. If you have kids who like playgrounds, go here

The best playground we've ever visited! Great for kids of all ages. There's a fenced in area for toddlers. Picnic tables and restrooms. Great location to watch the sun set.

Great park for a stop while driving around big Island with kids. Bring a picnic lunch to eat under the shaded gazebos or picnic tables or cook your food in a designated bbq. There are benches, large wood castle playground with a huge slide and a toddler play area. Basketball courts, tennis courts, maybe even an old baseball field down at the bottom. Such a great spot when traveling around the island. Clean bathrooms with soap too!

If you live Hilo it will be about a 2 1/2 hour drive.
Great place to take the keiki. I took our children here it is huge and there's shaded pavillion areas along with clean restrooms.
No shame I went down the big slide, kinda creepy cuz going down the slide it's totally covered and is dark, for tots I'd slide down with them.
The playground area has places to sit and have a picnic however when the sun is high no shade.
Also it's creepy that there are faces on the wall that surround the main shaded area that connects to the castle, I've attached some photos.
