I absolutely love this place!!

They are huge and clean!

Their card catalog is all online now. You can search for any book using the Author, title or subject. It will tell you exactly where to go find it on the shelf. They have computers there you can use, for free, to look this up.

They have other computers you can use, for free, to internet surf on.

There is no fee on late library books any more. But I am curtious and still renew or bring them back when suggested.

I just seen that you can check out ties, workout activities, games to improve health, scooters and crutches, along with books, dvd's, audio books, and video games.
They have a large selection of comic books too!

I'm so impressed with all the new things we can check out now!
What a blessing to our community!

The Northwest branch library is a jewel. I continue to be amazed at the offerings and just took a tour offered by the Geneology dept. It was the St. Louis Insane Asylum on Arsenal street. Our guide Andrea was well spoken and pleasant. I came away with a wealth of info related to the history of mental illness and treatment, plus that gorgeous old building. Ginger organized this and the communication by email was fantastic. I was moved from the wait list. Hoping for more offerings. I encourage everyone to subscribe to the library newsletter and watch for these type of events.

I remember when it was house under what is now Wicked Chicken, then moved to the old high ridge grocery that is now Pupillo's hall. The present location was a National grocery when I was in college!

I had gotten my library card not too long ago, but today I came in to study and they have excellent private rooms to study in! It’s a beautiful library and is great for the community!

One of the most annoying things about them is their app. An item will says 3 renews but won't let you due to copy needed for fulfillment.... but if you call they can do it on their end. And sometimes when you try to renew the app wont change your due date but take one of your renews away and then sometimes it will only renew it for a couple days extra, oh boy. I can't keep calling every time to renew the 10+ books my child checked out. And then it yells at you about fees. I've never had this issue with STL county. If I have renews it should renew automatically no matter if someone is waiting for it or not. And then to try to charge me so quickly for it. Again, this wasn't an issue at STL county libraries. One day it was 100 degrees out so they refused to put my game I've waited months for outside.... I didn't get to borrow it because I can't get inside in a timely manner. Seriously frustrating. The whole thing has been frustrating. You can't return board games outside so I've been holding onto a game for way longer than I should be. Things need to be easier.

Oh and don't forget the homeless people that's always outside on the benches. Adds a special touch that definitely screams Jeffco.

I visit this library to write. Haven't used their vast book collection for my research - yet. Such a clean, quiet place.. I don't use their wifi,, though its available.. A number of activities and programs are offered - look forward to taking part.
Just need a safe place away from home where I can be reasonably undisturbed.. Every visit here has been wonderful. My Service Dog has always been welcomed.

There are homeless people camping out on the benches outside the entrance harassing patrons of the library. The library staff has been made aware of this but they do nothing about it.
Very unsafe for the ladies using the facility
