I was curious to see that there was a new non-chain game store in town, and I definitely have mixed feelings after checking it out. The selection of actual games was definitely pretty sparse, though their merchandise other than games seemed pretty fairly priced. I have to wonder, are those reproduction cartridges even legal, though? Contrary to a couple other reviews I read before writing this, there were a lot of repros for games for which buying authentic copies would be much more prohibitively expensive, especially the Pokemon games, so I'm guessing it's more a result of a blanket pricing policy due to all of them being repros.
Still though, the practice itself seems iffy to me. I did pick up some nice styluses, and like I said, they seemed more reasonable overall than other reviews here would have led me to believe, so I couldn't quite bring myself to give them just one star.

Friendly staff, nice spot, but the inventory is very bare bones, which is surprising since they have a few other stores to pull product from. The best section is the clearly marked repro Pokemon & Funko Pops which is just orderable product. Hopefully they can get some authentic good retro inventory sooner rather than later

I definitely recommend Hudson's video games there a great store to shop at they have everything that you could need from video games to gaming consoles they also have very awesome customer service there very nice and respectful to there customers so if anyone is interested and looking games or gaming consoles I would definitely go to then there store is located inside the Melbourne square mall

Awesome store! Being from out of state I appreciate the service and patience. Made me a great deal on a rarer game and definitely made a lasting experience. The store was neat, cleaned, and organized. Better quality and selection compared to the others that I found. I’ll definitely be back before I leave.

Staff seems nice from the short interaction I had with the manager. As most other reviews state, the pricing is a point of concern. The one that caught my eye first was the Gamecube that is in the front window (left side, believe is on the middle shelf). Not only does it look pretty rough, but the console has not been cleaned or refurbished in any way shape or form (I asked the manager who verified the consoles are NOT cleaned or refurbished, they are only functionality tested and put up for sale). For an asking price of $145 dollars, I'd really expect them to at least clean the 20ish year old dust / grime out of it.
The rest of the inventory seems rather high priced, but that's the price you pay when the owners are banking on those precious nostalgia dollars! Seems kind of like DKOldies if ya ask me...

Ill give ya two stars for the kind young man behind the counter. He handled my question like a gentleman and was honest.

I think the store is really good when you compare it to gamestop, there's older consoles like the super nintendo, ps2, ps3, and even limited edition consoles, funko pops that are hard to get your hands on and they even sell newer stuff as well! Also the trade in value is better than gamestop! Great experience.

No need to even go over the anemic selection, and the absurdly high prices in this spot. Every single thing of note I saw in this store was easily double of what a fair market value is. Make your money as a business, but it's generally accepted that a few bucks over or right around fair market is fine but double? Why would I pay $44.99 for Teen Titans on PS2 when everywhere else sells for $20. Why would I pay $199.99 on a Twilight Masquerade Booster Box when there are 10 stores around this place that sell the same box for $110-$120?

Ridiculous, yes, but most egregious is the unmarked reproduction carts. Furthermore, these cartridges are about what a fair market value of what the actual cart goes for! Mario Kart 64 being marked $34.99 for a repro cart when the actual game cartridge sells for $39.99 - $44.99 everywhere it absolutely baffling to me.

I'm sure this review will be met with a billion excuses of this, that, and the other, but rest assured, all of these issues are this store's problem, and can be corrected only by this store deciding to do better.
