Baseball may no longer be the sport of gloss, money and power--but it's a true sport, filled with the genuine American values of hard work, community, and fellowship. The evidence, the bones of this country are everywhere if you look hard enough.

This park, nestled in a cluster of farms and fields may no longer have the luster of it's hey day, but it plays well, has challenging fences, and clearly has been maintained with the thread of love that can return it to glory.

Old varsity field (#11) is not too bad. The other fields are absolutely awful. We ended up here during a Gametime tournament that was supposed to be at Afton. Unfortunately some of the games were transferred here. We would never sign up for games here intentionally. We did a couple years ago before we knew any better.

Very solid experience overall with Hazelwood Sports Complex. Greg Viehman has handled every need I have had to get my high school games played on their field. I can't speak for the rest of the complex but this man works hard. Everything is always clean for us, and rarely do we have rainouts because of his hard work.

Its a dump. My son has played a few tournaments there and every time we are scheduled to play there me and my family try to come up with reasons to not go. All the money they make off all the teams there they would invest into their feilds to make it safer for the players. And maybe give parents and whoever came to watch

The fields are ok, played at better. What is stupid is when it's 90+ degrees outside and someone needs ice for a drink or to cool down, whatever the reason....they are not allowed to give or sell ice. Really? Give ice....ok I get it. Sell ice.....you dont pay that much for cups. Charge $.50 for a cup of ice.

Today's game was played by the most unsportsmanlike, vindictive umpires I have ever experienced. I have played for CYC, ABC, and BMAC. When the umpire was asked about his behavior after the game he said, "when you are loud and call me out you need to remember I make the calls. Better luck next time." Then he lit up a smoke in uniform and began talking to the opposing team. I heard this conversation with my own ears. I have NEVER had an experience like this in the 10 years my multiple children have played. On anouther note, the concrete Jonnies they had for restrooms were out of TP, no sanatizer or accessibility to wash your hands, and had no way to secure the door. Please choose a different league. This is an amazing game and children deserve to be treated fairly.

Nice ballpark. I would like a few shade trees in the bleachers area but they do have trees nearby so it feels quiet and more park like than many fields.
