Center street Wallingford houses, between local eateries and community spaces, a small unassuming door with the Hall of Gaming logo printed in light blue.

From the tvs, to the people, there is always a warm hum in the air. If hurricanes or snow were to buffet across Connecticut, and I were to be trapped inside for weeks on end—then I'd prefer I'm somewhere like HoG. I'd give it 6 stars if not for the limitations imposed on me by google maps.

Great place for video games with a great community of people. Very welcoming to new people also. I didn't play anything myself but my husband loves this community very much and I understood why very quickly. Different weekday tournaments for a variety of games played. Snacks and beverages available on the premises. Board games also available for use!

Super cool, I play video games here every week. The owner is very personable and attentive towards his customers. It is free to play any console as long as you are not competing in a tournament, ranging from n64 to ps5, very cool. Weekly tournaments foster a great community too, i’ve made a great amount of friends here. snacks are super cheap, 50 cent rice krispy treats! come to hog

There aren't many local scenes I'd travel 2+ hours for in heavy traffic, but this is one of them. Super positive atmosphere, and brackets that run tight and on time.

This is a great venue! The owner, Arty, is super cheerful and friendly, not to mention extremely helpful when it comes to learning the games! If you're interested in any of the communities that are hosted here don't be intimidated just stop by!

I drove more that 3 hours to enter a tournament here, and it's not the first time I've done it! I've been playing in video game tournaments for almost a decade and I've never been to a better venue for regular local gaming tournaments.

They have two gender neutral bathrooms, lots of space for players / TVs, and everything was clean and they went above and beyond current COVID-19 guidelines. They sell small concession stuff like snacks, drinks, and whatnot, and they don't overcharge for them.

The communities they're fostering are extremely friendly and inclusive. Like seriously, there's no clique mentality. Just show up, even if you've never entered a tournament before. You'll probably make some friends because everyone there is a homie. Even the owners are devoted members of the community, and not in a cheesy business way.

I can really only speak for Super Smash Bros tournaments because they're the only tournaments I've entered here, but HoG events are amazing. If you're in the New Haven area, and you've ever considered entering a gaming tournament, go to something at Hall of Gaming. You won't regret it.

The people that run this place make it feel like home. I travel up from NJ just to see them.

10/10 would recommend.
