Best catfish platter, ever. Perfectly fried and battered. Hush puppies. French fries, with a loaded baked potato to go. Service was great.. Thank you for such an enjoyable dining experience.

I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but these plates are too expensive and I drive too far to be disappointed. We’ve had several church dinners here and we bring all our out of town guests here but the quality has gone down since the prices increased. I guess they figured if they gave me more pieces I wouldn’t notice these are over cooked baby catfish and I don’t like the new slaw or fries. I’m done!

An Classic Southern fish camp but with BBQ as well.. Friendly service. Cool, old-school atmosphere. The food was good. It can be a bit heavy, though, depending on what you order. Take your cholesterol meds before you go. Lol

A come as you are eatery in the middle of nowhere.Normally, there is a wait. Tonight we walked in and sat right down. Wait staff is friendly and quick. Food was delivered fast. Most fish plates are fried. Very little broiled or grilled options. The popcorn shrimp is good. Lightly breaded and fried. The barbecue is good. I liked the brisket. We didn't do dessert. Not my last trip.

Food was fine - nothing special. The Brunswick Stew was what we called “hash” in South Carolina and was usually served over rice but here it was in a bowl with a few slices of white bread. Our waitress was super nice and we were delighted to hear her sing Happy Birthday to a fellow patron. We’d come back but order something different. We found out too late that the catfish was their specialty!

The staff were just fantastic. The atmosphere cozy country. The Beef Brisket was dry and hardly warm and my husbands ribs were dry too. We were rather disappointed because this restuarant was recommended and we drove an hour to visit. It was June 26, 2021 at 1:31pm. We will return a second time.

We moved to AZ 10 years ago and we have missed places like this every since. Gumlog is an excellent southern fish camp and BBQ restaurant. There aren't many of these types of restaurants left but here's to hoping Gumlog lasts forever. Service is true southern hospitality. We had flounder, catfish, tilapia and brisket. ALL were phenomenal. And you have to get some Brunswick stew. They don't have Brunswick stew in AZ. Gumlog alone, makes me want to move back... Man I miss it
