First time at this track and I was very satisfied. Course was in overall great condition (8.5/10) and provided a fun round. There are several challenging holes that make you play smart. Greens do not roll fast here.

Worst rangers of all time. The course is great and very well kept with friendly players. But despite being 20 whole minutes ahead of the pace of play the ranger yelled at my group of 4 on two separate occasions in an extremely unfriendly and unprofessional manner to pick up the pace.

Town has signed for a new 2014/5/6 food opperator ! We have been here twice. Above average bar food. Servers were very nice & fast. The manager was grouchy. Not welcoming at all.

We don't play golf but love the restaurant. Senic outside service & good bar food. Prompt & efficient service.

Decent track. Gets way too much play as the difference in price for out-of-towers is highly attractive. When you factor in your town mandated membership fee, you are paying the nonmember price for your first ten rounds. You do get a slight advantage in reserving times as a member. However, you are paying Greenwich taxes, so maybe you have already paid for some privilege. All town courses in this area charge a huge premium for non-members. The Griff does not. A public road runs through the course, and you have to cross it twice. Three holes have totally blind tee shots, and each has a bell to ring, letting people know the way is clear. Few ring the bells. Taking your life in your hands playing here. Conditions are just ok. 5 hour rounds are common.

The course is very fun, challenging, and pure. Lots of interesting holes. However, the staff is incompetent. I was trying to meet my friend at the turn, he was playing alone. Starter tried to tell me that he is playing in a foursome and I cannot join. I had to call my friend and have him confirm to the starter that he is indeed playing alone and is on hole seven. The starter then let me pay for the back nine and let me wait at 10 tee. Additionally, they gave me tons of attitude on the phone and in person. Not in the pro shop, they were nice in there, it was over near the cashier/starter window where the very poor attitude from the phone returned. Additionally, this is definitely the only business in America that does not accept cash. I had to give the starter $40 so I can borrow his credit card because I only bring cash to golf courses to avoid losing my wallet. Pace of play was fine, the course was pure, there were just a lot of pitch marks on the green and some of the staff were very unpleasant and disrespectful.

$53 for the back nine with the cart, during “twilight” hours.

$75 for 18 with a cart.

Considering how I was treated by the staff, particularly the starter, I honestly don’t think this course is worth the price.

The course itself was so pure and so beautiful, but there is wayyyy more than course conditions to consider when reviewing a golf course.
