A wonderful local park that offers a playground for children (swing set, slides, climbing activities, etc.), a pavilion with picnic tables (can be reserved for events, such as birthday parties), a pond with ducks and geese, a walking trail and path (around the pond + in the pine thicket), a splash pad, and a disc-golf course.

The park is well-maintained and safe. The playground is small but entertaining for young kids. There is a public restroom on site. You can feed the ducks and geese located around the pond [no bread please! Please do research on what food to feed them. :)] The walking paths are great for exercise, walking or running, and the park is dog-friendly so it is appropriate to walk a dog, too. The disc-golf course is open to anyone and is located in the pine thicket. Bring your own discs. The park has a nice atmosphere and is located in a good area.

Seasonal city events are held here from time to time, such as vendor markets where a variety of approved vendors sell merchandise or food/drink.

This is a great, family-friendly place to play, exercise, or enjoy the outdoors.

Pretty big park with a walking trail and two separate ponds. There is a playground and a splash pad. Next to the playground is a pavilion and several picnic tables. The pond with a fountain is fenced in and the other is made for fishing.

Nice and clean. In
Silvertown Thomaston. Take a walk through the trail, let the kids burn some energy on the play ground or in the fountains on a hot day. Or just watch the geese. This place is good to relax or take a meeting. Check it out if you have not.

The park is nice but the play ground can not be played on when it's hot outside cause there is nothing covering or partially covering it . It will BURN your hands if you touch it . And the splash pad keeps tearing up. So that means Thomaston spent Thousands's of dollars of tax payers money for what, nothing!

We love greatest generation memorial park! Love feeding the ducks, walking on the trail and playing on the playground.

This is a very family friendly park. Lots of swings and an elaborate jungle gym give the younger ones something to do. The pond is nice too, with lots of turtles, ducks, geese and some rather large fish. Bring some bread to feed them all and they will entertain you. I didn't use the toilet so I can't comment on the cleanliness. Lots of walking trails too. Very beautiful.

Freedom Fest 2019 was a great end to our family's 4th of July celebration! The kids had many activities to keep them busy, the live music was great, and the fireworks finale didn't disappoint. I also appreciate the clean restrooms and the abundance of security and local law enforcement. We will definitely do it again next year!
