Started training at Gracie Barra Downers Grove three months ago and have absolutely loved it. All the coaches/professors have made the experience memorable and productive. I switched from the WL location to DG because of work. Since day 1 I have felt so
welcomed at DG. The professors and coaches here are amazing and really helpful, especially Coach Vince he is the best. Everyone I train with are super friendly and wants you to succeed and that combination is hard to find. If you’re thinking about doing Jiu Jitsu I would highly recommend coming to DG or any Gracie Barra location, you won’t regret it

My boys are members of the new lenox gracie barra and they love it and they attended summer camp at the downers grove this year and begged for more . The coaches are amazing professors are amazing we have visited here for a few activities and they always want to return ,but what are family loves the most is i dont care which gracie barra you attend or visit you are treated like family and every single school has amazing teachers and staff they are truly a great school and amazing place my boys live ,eat ,sleep and breath gracie barra and its due to the family closeness and amazing teachers .once you have been to gracie barra you will never want to go anywhere else ever gracie barra for life is what my kids say

At the behest of one of the instructors yet against my better judgement, I’ve decided to post a review as the demand for novice opinions is sought after. I say this because in the ever-expanding language of jiu jitsu I am barely finding my footing with the basics. However, I will say that as grueling as this sport is, the mentorship and growth you can experience here at Gracie Barra is one of a kind, and really not nearly as expensive as it could be given that you are awarded the freedom to attend as many classes as you can handle. Camaraderie, exercise and an enhanced sense of self await you, jiu jitsu will ground you in perhaps an otherwise chaotic life.
