Gracie Barra Hannibal is a family friendly school. Our entire family has participated in one or more of the classes (ages: 6, 11, 21, 38, 40). My children display confidence and increased self esteem. The environment is one of respect for all. Coach Beau provides constructive feedback to ensure ongoing improvement both physically and emotionally. We couldn't be happier with Gracie Barra Hannibal and Coach Beau. It is truly our extended family.

My son was staying with family for part of the summer. He attends our local MMA dojo in Maryland and I didn't want him to get complacent while out of town. My cousin and brother had told me about Gracie Barra and recommended that my son attend while he was there. My son absolutely enjoyed it. My family stated that the staff worked with him, assessed his skill level, and placed him in the correct class. The instructors were knowledgeable and worked great with all the children. I would definitely recommend this for any parent.

I just started taking classes here about a month ago. I've always been interested in taking jiu-jitsu, when I was finally able to start class, this was my first choice. The coaches are super intelligent and the nicest people you'll ever meet. I was welcomed with open arms, and a warm smile. Everyone is super easy to get along with and I look forward to each and every class. If you're hesitant about joining, just call and ask to schedule a free class, you won't regret it. Great workout with great people, teaches great principals and just plain fun. Hope to see you there soon!!

Prof. Viehmann was kind enough to let me study with his school, while I visited my family for 3 weeks. He, and his students, were very welcoming, fun, and heavy. I had never been to a Gracie Barra before, and the experience was great. Got in some good rolls with some fun people and learned BJJ from a different perspective. I attended both the Beginners and Advanced classes on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Not too formal, but also not too relaxed. Everyone is respectful, and Prof. Beau sets a good example. I'm glad to know that GB Hannibal is there for when I visit family. I had been practicing for a year and a half under Prof. Milam (RGAPDX), and seeing a different approach helped. Simply put: He was great, it was great. Thanks for the training, and sharing your secret ninja skills.

I consider Gracie Barra Hannibal to be the premier martial arts and Jiu Jitsu school in the Quincy, IL / Hannibal, MO area. If you and/or your children are looking for a fun and challenging place to learn and workout, GB Hannibal deserves to be at the top of your list to consider. Unfortunately, I was only able to work out at GB Hannibal for a few short months before relocating for work, but noticed myself improving drastically in that time with the help of Coach Beau and the senior students. As someone that lived in Quincy, I can say it was well worth the short commute, and I would choose GB Hannibal again, despite there being closer, local schools in Quincy.

A true gem in the Hannibal community. Professor Beau vieghman has created a welcoming environment for anybody to come in, and train at their own pace. The philosophy is jiu jitsu for everyone. This motto is practiced everyday, and it shows with a diverse group of trainees from all walks of life. This is one of the best investments you can make for yourself, and your family.

Beautiful facility filled with very kind students and high level of Brazilian Jiujitsu. Professor Beau is a very knowledgeable black belt that takes a good care of his students. Great for kids and adults. You should defiantly check it out!
