While traveling in our motorhome on our way south for the winter, we aim to ride some new-to-us trails. Today, we rode a non-paved section of the Frisco Highline Trail, Wishart, to Walnut Grove, Missouri. Lots of bridges, fall colors, firm surface, benches, history signs, good mile markers.

Be sure to have good directions because there are no signs until the Wishart trailhead. Either way makes for a good walk as it is rural and cars are not common. I enjoyed walking past pastures and walking across the many bridges.

It's a good trail; I ride it often. I just wish more was paved than the first eight miles (Kearney to Willard)

Would’ve been a decent trail had we have not had to turn around a 1/2 mile into it because people can’t keep their dogs under control. One of the homes along the trail had dogs out and rushed my son and wife and I with our dog, barring teeth and hair standing up. Would highly recommend going to a different parts of the trail. Very beautiful place

34 miles of biking goodness. If you like mild trail biking, this is the place to be. It's not a mountain bike trail, so you can bring your road bikes for the first 8 and a half miles of paved trail. After that it is mostly gravel, so your slightly narrow tires would do just fine. Bring some bug repellant, especially for ticks. I found a couple of them on me after I finished about 25 miles on my bike. But that's part of being out in the nature. This trail hugs the road for quite a bit, but after about the 18-20 mile mark (I can't remember for sure), it curves away and then you can hear and see all kinds of birds. I even met a pretty decent sized turtle. Well worth going.

Well definitely this place gets a 5-star rating. You can ride bikes or walk this 35 or 36 mile Trail. It goes through some beautiful country and makes for really good day trips with friends or family. Some really nice spots to look at wildlife or if you like seeing horses or cows there's some great spots there also. There's a couple places to visit the river and you can see some gorgeous sunsets off of the trail!!!

Although this is very pretty and scenic, I would advise that women do not go by themselves. I had a man in a leather jacket following me along the parallel road. I stopped 3 times and he stopped all 3 times and stared at me from the road. I got my gun out of my pocket and hoofed it back to my car with my dogs. When I left, he was hanging in the area where the trail crosses the road. Scared the hell out of me. Will not return to this trail head. Also had a problem with 2 loose dogs. Was only there 10 minutes. Will drive further to Willard trail head
