Store was great. Gift shop was nice. We always like to help out local merchants when possible. The grandson helped us. We looked at leather furniture we were interested in but we needed bar stools right then. We knew exactly what we wanted and the salesman found them for us in one of their catalogues. He said we would have them by the end of the week. We paid for them before we left. We ordered four and they were pretty expensive. He was very knowledgable about everything in the catalogues and in the store and all the suppliers they dealt with. I was really impressed with that. End result: weeks went by with us making several phone calls and being promised they were on their way. Finally we went to the store to find out what was really going on. They had not even been shipped. The grandson, who we had been speaking with all along said they were waiting for a bigger order so he wouldn't have to pay so much shipping. But he said he would go ahead and order them and bear the extra cost of them being shipped. When they finally delivered them it had been over 6 weeks since we had ordered them and paid for them. Then the delivery guy tried to charge us all over for them again before he would let us have them. We had him call the store and they confirmed we had paid weeks before. We had planned on buying the leather furniture from them but because of all this they lost our business.

We purchased our mechanical bed and mattress from Fischers. Received it in the communicated time period. Had a small issue with stiching from the manufacturer on the mattress. Fishers was all over sending someone out to inspect and we had our new mattress quickly!
Very impressed with the customer service. Some things you just don't find these days.

Zach and Shelby are the best! They were so knowledgeable and helpful throughout my experience of purchasing a new mattress. They had a great selection for being a local small business, and prices you just can’t find at a large chain. What really makes Fisher’s a cut above the rest is how much they support our little town. As a Higginsville resident and consumer that means a lot to me.
