Fat Milk in Uptown is a must-visit for Vietnamese coffee lovers! The vibes are super cool, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I tried their signature Fat Milk Latte—a Phin drip coffee with condensed milk—and it was so rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet. If you love a strong, bold coffee, this is the spot for you. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

I had not had Vietnamese Coffee before and since I first tried it a few weeks ago, I have already been back twice. its a cute little shop located off Broadway, and when I say little, the interior is very small. There is a bar with stools in the back of the place but that is about it when it comes to seating. Each time I have gotten Traditional Vietnamese Coffee iced and loved it every time. The consistency, and quality of the drink makes it addicting. I can appreciate they don’t make the drink very sweet, so the quality of the coffee shines. My girlfriend has been getting the Matcha’s with Almond milk and they have a high quality Matcha powder they use. They also have baked good that rotate but I have yet to get one so I need to try those still. It is a bit pricey but on par with most coffee shops you’d go to in the city.

Had a sea salt coffee and it was delicious. On the higher price for a smaller cup size but the quality says it all. I was disappointed that my coffee cup was not logo with FAT MILK but it’s ok.
Atmosphere is quiet and ambiance with dark decor.
Definitely will come back every time I am in the area.

Great spot for coffee. I tried their signature ube latte, and it was so good. The coffee is smooth and strong. The ube foam was slightly salty and sweet. I recommend if you don't like sweet drinks. Service was friendly, and we got out drinks pretty fast. The space itself was small, but there is some chairs to enjoy your coffee at

I live just around here so I was excited to try it out when they first opened. My first drink choice wasn't my favorite. But, the second time around I had their Ube Matcha and it was amazing!! They are a bit pricy, but if you wanna try something new and get a pastry(they change every so often) for a little splurge, worth trying out. I love their beans- ordered some before this place had a locations 😊☕️

Ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and simple syrup. I was told the matcha is Chinese. They prepared the matcha the traditional way—with a bamboo whisk. The matcha itself doesn’t taste like it’s high quality. It lacks a lot of flavor and depth. The milk overpowers the matcha. The matcha taste itself isn’t the worst and doesn’t have that fishy taste that a lot of cafes have in Chicago. The color of the matcha has a nice green color, but is a bit dull. I think for the quality of matcha the drink is a bit over priced, costing roughly $7. I do appreciate that they are informed of where the matcha comes from and the service was great. I’ll have to come back to try their coffee.

A lovely modern Vietnamese coffeeshop! I loved the modern take on Vietnamese coffee!

The "traditional" Iced Vietnamese Phin Drip Cold Brew is lovely. I personally would have liked a stronger coffee flavour that reminds me of what one gets in Vietnam. But this is awfully close. I only wish they also did the traditional drip to-order over ice and condensed milk....though given how long that would take, and the fact that this place is very much all about burn-and-turn service (as evident by the lack of tables and seating beyond a few that line the window) - I'm not surprised they make their traditional Vietnamese coffee drinks in large batches.

The lack of seating is also off-putting if you're looking to sit and sip and enjoy your Vietnamese coffee. I think that's the one thing I'm disappointed about. I very much appreciated in Vietnam that the coffee was a slow and patient ordeal. Something to be savoured rather than drank quickly on-the-go.

So if you're looking for a counter service grab-&-go, this is a great place.

The ube donut was decent but nothing to wow one's tastebuds. If you've nver had ube, this is a safe and sweet way to enjoy it and is a good way to enjoy its flavour for the first time.

Worth a visit. ☺️

If you live in Chicago or you visit at some point, you really should visit Fat Miilk. The storefront is open and welcoming. The staff is professional and courteous. They execute each order so smoothly and it shows in the quality and flavor. Today I got a signature Vietnamese iced coffee and a Fat Milky Affogato topped with biscoff cookie. The Fat Milky Affogato is a limited time offering in partnership with Milky Milky Ice Cream, a small batch, handcrafted ice cream based in Ravenswood, Chicago. I'm excited to try it with the other 2 toppings. 🤤🥴🥹
I also ordered a matcha kouign-amann, double chocolate croissant, blueberry peach donut and a turkey and gruyere croissant. Not a single miss!!! 11/10 . Check them out when you get the chance. You won't be sorry!
