My friends and I went to this escape room for her birthday and had such a fun time! We did an escape room called Before Moonrise and I loved it! The puzzles were very well thought out and really fun to do! Absolutely loved the concept and all the themes of their escape rooms. Great quality escape rooms and super friendly and attentive staff. I would definitely go again in the near future and would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for escape room fun!

Had a fantastic experience doing the Crypt with two others. The staff were attentive and quick to help with technical issues - something I've found lacking at other escape rooms. The puzzles were creative and engaging, and the monitoring staff provided appropriate guidance when needed. Left feeling thoroughly entertained and eager to try their other rooms.

I can’t emphasize enough how awesome of an experience this escape room was! I was part of a group of 8 who did Before Moonrise. Everything was so well thought out and entertaining with clever puzzles and amazing features. This was my favorite escape room to date! I’ll definitely be back to try my luck with the rest of the rooms

I've been a fan of Escape New Haven for years, but my latest experience was extra special. Before Moonrise was the highest quality build I've encountered in an escape room.

It felt very sleek and high-tech. There were barely any combination locks – instead, there were lights and magnets and pneumatic contraptions and sounds... So many cool puzzles.

I highly recommend Before Moonrise, both for existing fans and folks who've never tried an escape room – or those who would appreciate something more sophisticated than the escape rooms of the past.

This place hands down has some of the most exciting and interesting escape rooms. I have done 5 different rooms at Escape New Haven since they opened in 2015 and every one has been a blast. Some truly memorable, inventive, and challenging puzzles. The staff are great and Dan was a fantastic operator on my most recent trip in November 2024.

The escape room was well put together. We chose the hardest room and it was challenging! We did not escape but had a great time. The staff were friendly and had a great sense of humor. We will be coming back for more and hopefully escape next time!

Took a trip to Escape New Haven yesterday, and had a phenomenal time! My partner and I were both escape room novices, but the game was super engaging, even when we struggled. As we progressed through the room, the game continued to surprise us in new ways with different kinds of challenges, interesting effects, and even some humor infused into the props. The hour flew by, and we had a great time.

Akari was a our game operator, and from the moment we walked in she had great energy, even when talking about the rules! She was phenomenal at discerning when to give us hints, and when to push us to figure it out ourselves. After the game, we did a debrief on what went well, what we struggled with which was also fun 🙂 Go Akari!

Overall, it was an amazing time, and even though it was just myself and my partner, I could see this being a great activity for family, friends, a work retreat, team bonding or as a holiday present. I could not recommend enough, and will definitely be returning! 🙂
