My teens and I had so much fun in the jungle escape room! The location is great, the creator is super friendly and his puzzles are truly captivating. We left there feeling like we just had a super cool adventure. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a stellar time at Escape Hilo! Ryan was an amazing game creator/game master and made us feel welcome right away. He clearly exudes passion for puzzles and the craft of escape! The room was extremely clever and well designed. We never felt there were too many loose ends at a time or solutions that didn’t have clear destinations. Even though our party has done our fair share of escape rooms in the past, we were pleasantly surprised with the ingenuity of several of the puzzles. Theme was topical and tropical 🙂 Overall, could not recommend highly enough!

Fun escape room! We've done quite a few, and it was interesting, challenging, and had on theme elements and puzzles! Was fun even for the group members who had never done an escape room before! Worth doing if you're visiting and like a puzzle!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and our trip got extended due to the Microsoft outage/flights cancelled. We stayed in Kona, but decided to drive to the other side of the island to Hilo! We had a great experience at escape Hilo! Worth the money and drive ? We broke out with 3 seconds to spare! Ryan did a great job in setting up the escape room. Gave us clues when needed and my husband and I enjoyed trying to solve the puzzles together. We’ve only done about 2-3 escape rooms in the past and we thought Ryan’s was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had!

Ryan, the owner, makes the game an AWESOME experience. His enthusiasm for the game and for your enjoyment of the game is infectious. We didn't get out of the Escape room, but we had a fun time trying to escape. Bring all of your wits to the game because you'll need it. Make Escape Hilo part of your trip to Hilo. It's a 5 star experience.

Surprisingly fun, like a real life Zelda puzzle! It was our first time ever trying an escape room, and it was a lot more interesting and engaging than I would have expected. The hour flew by and despite making what felt like fast progress, we ran out of time at the final step. Clever and unique challenges the whole way through.

Highly recommend to couples or groups. Air conditioned space was also a welcome relief on a hot day. Looking forward to any future updates so we can take on the next challenge.

What a cool place. Every escape room has its own uniqueness. This one did not disappoint. The game master is really cool and exciting. The theme is great. Can’t give away any details or it will ruin the fun. Definitely recommend.

I'm a pretty big escape roomer (~50), and this one was fun! We got to talk to Ryan, who is the owner, creator, and sole operator of the rooms, and he is super passionate about his rooms, which makes itself obvious in his design and operation of the room. As of now, Ryan only has one room running at a time (though he says he has plans to add another), which is the Jungle Mystery. The room has lots of puzzles and was super cute (Hiro will forever be one of my favorite elements of a room). We look forward to Ryan's next room when we're back in town!
