Stopped in for lunch on the spoon river drive. Took a bit for food to arrive. But food came out hot. Chicken and noodles were good and the burger and fries were good. Large portions.

I had their chicken quesidilla and their soup. I filled up quick and took home leftovers and dessert in a slice of peanut butter chocolate pie. The food was great. Our waitress was not only polite and diligent but I noticed she was able to keep up with the crowd that trickled in not long after us. It was a lighthearted atmosphere and at the time seemed to cater to the older generation as they were primarily those who dined in. I did notice a small family of four and a mother and daughter as well showing that while preferred by the older generation its well enjoyed by the younger half as well. A few people ranging in 20s and 30s stopped by to pick up a take out order. By time dinner was beginning and i was leaving, the phone could be heard ringing with orders coming in. Overall it was a pleasant experience and a very filling meal for a decent price.

Seriously so impressed! All of this food cost $15!!! The taste, the service and the speed were all outstanding! We just had a newborn and didn't have time to make a meal this morning after being so exhausted. My fiancé called this order in and it was ready in under 20 minutes when he went to pick it up! We highly recommend Elm Street Cafe and thank them for the amazing breakfast!!! Hats off to the chef!

We have been here a few times. Each time the girlfriend and I have gone it's been terrible. My family has gone and it's been alright though. I would suggest going in smaller parties because a party of 6 seems to be hard to serve. It took an hour to get food. Our waitress finally came over and said you guys don't have food yet? Then went to the kitchen to find out why. The chicken salad sandwich came out with the bread on one side of the plate, the chicken salad in the middle of the plate and the other slice of bread on the right side of the plate. The owner delivered the sandwich to our table and said the sandwich looked like that because they used a knife to cut it. She also walked by all night and stopped to give us an awkward stare. The chicken wrap came out open on two ends for half of it and the side blown out on the other half. It was a mess and hard to eat. Looked closer to a salad. It also had hair in it. We sent it back and did not get a replacement. They removed it from the bill but we still had to pay for the sides that came with the meal even though they went back to the kitchen as well. Mashed potatoes were brown and black from being scorched. Au gratin potatoes had two of the smallest chunks of ham you have ever seen. Stood in line for awhile to pay. It's cash only, which we are aware of and were prepared for. The time it took for us to get food and eat we could have drove to peoria and ate.
