Walking into Edible Passport felt like stepping into a secret haven. It was the kind of place where time slows down, and you can truly relax. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy something amazing. The one item that immediately caught my eye was the Tennessee Hot Chicken Slider. From the very first bite, I knew I was in for something unforgettable. The buttery hot sauce had a perfect balance, spicy yet smooth, coating the crispy Southern fried chicken breast. The chicken was everything you hope for: crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, packed with flavor without a hint of grease. It was one of those bites you always dream about but rarely find. Then, the cheddar added this rich, creamy contrast, melting just enough into the chicken to blend with the heat. The slaw brought a fresh crunch with every bite, and it wasn’t just there for texture—it had this cool, tangy zing that perfectly balanced the heat. But the real surprise was the house pickles. They had this bold, briny kick that elevated everything, cutting through the richness and adding a bright, zesty note. Each bite was like a flavor symphony spicy, tangy, creamy, crunchy, all working together in perfect harmony. It didn’t feel like just another sandwich, it felt like something crafted with care, with every ingredient having a purpose. If you're looking for more than just a meal, something that hits all the right notes in a relaxed, welcoming spot, Edible Passport is where you need to be.

The food at Edible Passport is Gordon Ramsey level food. Everything on the menu is a masterfully crafted dish and the chef knows what they're doing. The food is slightly pricey but it is well worth the price. For starters try the lamb chop and go from there.
I also want to thank Edible Passport for sponsoring the taste of Blue Island for the past few years. Their food always runs out the quickest because it's just that good

I wasn't disappointed in this place at all. I went for a late lunch. It was only me and my friend there and someone at the bar. This is a hidden gem. There was only 1 person working. She may have been the owner or manager. She was very nice and attentive. The watermelon margarita was delicious. Sliders werent dried out. I had the gumbo, very flavorful but definitely tasted better the next day. Only complaint I had about the food, there wasn't enough truffle on the fries. I will definitely be back.
The space where they are was another restaurant, I used to dine there. The restaurant is currently using the furniture from the other restaurant, which I get is cheaper. I don't know if it was the building or the furniture but it smelled old and musty. Just need to have some wall plug ins, or something.

They catered my sister's baby shower brunch and the food was delicious and we liked the presentation. So I decided to stop by the establishment for a quick dinner and I was very pleased. My meal of lamb chops, Mac & cheese and rice was very tasty. The roasted peppers complimented the dish. They didn't have the dessert I wanted which was a bummer. The server was very attentive and pleasant.

Dynamite experience. I had the vegetable rolls, crab cakes, blueberry lemon drop, watermelon martini, lobster with shrimp and cheesecake. I had the opportunity to sit at the bar and watch college football. I look forward to revisiting soon.

My wife and I were in Blue Island for a concert at the Lyric Theater that our son was playing. We don’t live close but oh my I wish we did! What a hidden gem this place is. We just wanted to find something close to the theater to get a late lunch/early dinner so there were only a few people there. All I can say is the service was friendly, the atmosphere and music cool, and the food was exquisite! Everything was prepared with care and presented beautifully so plan to spend a little more time to allow for the preparation. It’s worth it!! In addition, it is very reasonably priced for the quality you get. I’ve only been there once so can’t comment on the whole menu though I’m sure everything is great. I particularly recommend the Shanghai spring rolls and the Tiramisu!

Nice neighborhood gem. We were a group of 4, two of the group members are foodies. I thought that my meal was very good although they were out of my first choice, kinda disappointed. The two foodies were less impressed than I was but they tend to be. The drinks were very good and overall not a bad experience. I do recommend.

I came midday on a Sunday. There were only 3 or 4 other tables. The stand out was the special, coconut shrimp. The sauce was delicious and the sauce itself was warm which I thought was a nice touch. The sauce was a delicious sort of curry flavor. Very nice. The shrimp was hot and well seasoned and so reasonably priced.

I also loved the fruit plate from the brunch menu! It has at least 7 different fruits, and was a great portion for the price. I wish more restaurants would offer sometime like that.

Both dishes were plated very nicely. The music was quite loud when I first came in, but they kindly lowered it a bit upon request. The service was good.

The coffee was a little burnt tasting, not my favorite. But it was a large mug of it!

I enjoyed it and would definitely come back. I'm excited to try more of the flavors.
