Awesome place.
Not only is duckpin bowling a super gratifying game but, they have an awesome arcade too.

The bowling is self scoring which makes for a fun engaging time between the people you play with.

The arcade games are still 1980’s pricing
I played for a while with a pocket of quarters.

Highly recommend this place.

My kids love Duckpin bowling, and visiting duckpin bowling is always an adventure. This place has a very cozy feeling, is clean and is well maintained. They do take credit cards and the prices are very fair. It’s 5 minute off of I84 and under 10 minutes from downtown hartford so if you are like me visiting from NYC or coming from Boston it is worth a stop for a bit of fun. Also note their hours when it’s raining!

I've always loved this place and hope that it manages to stick around. Duckpin bowling is fun and easier for people with back/hand issues because the balls are smaller and lighter. It's also a fun novelty for kids who have only seen regular bowling. I don't know if they still do kids birthday parties but we did a few parties there when I was a kid and it was always a nice time.

Fun place for an affordable afternoon (or evening) of duckpin bowling! Not being from the NE, this was my first time trying this type of bowling. The staff person was super helpful and friendly! It got pretty busy by about 2 PM on a January Saturday, so there were a few times it seemed like having a second person would be helpful (like when she needed to fix something for a lane but some other people needed something at the desk). They had beer and wine, but I didn’t happen to see any food options when I was there- maybe there was something and I just missed it somehow. Games are $6 per person and $4 for shoe rentals (so my 2 games and shoe rental were $16 total).

We had such a great time! We went to the Friday DJ night where it's $20 for a game and shoes. I had never been duck pin bowling before, and now I love it more than regular bowling because of Ducks on the Ave! They even donate proceeds on the weekends that the DJ is there to an arts festival?

Ducks on the Ave is located below CVS. It is pretty small but very fun! I had never been duckpin bowling. We went for a birthday party. They had a bunch of lanes open for the party and another area with tables and chairs for pizza and cake. My four year old loved it, as did my husband and I.
